Painfully awkward photo shows Mueller and Trump Jr. waiting at the same airport gate

Politico caught Donald Trump Jr. and Robert Mueller very awkwardly hanging out at the same airport gate in Washington D.C. on Friday.

In the photo, Don Jr. — or as he likes to call himself in his gym selfies, Donald Pump — leans against the back wall talking on the phone. Despite his camouflage hat, he fails to blend into the airport’s stark gray wall because he’s wearing an unreasonably bright teal shirt. He’s doing what we’ve all done before when we run into someone we really don’t want to make small talk with: chilling on his phone.

When checking Twitter, you expect a light chuckle, some news, probably some memes and dog pics. What you don’t expect is to see your dad’s face pop up as a meme.

Alex Leavy was scrolling through Twitter when she came across a picture of an older dude photobombing a selfie with what looks like a pretty creepy leer.

The tweet was shared by user @tooshortforwhat on Tuesday, when she noticed the man overshadowing her selfie.

Everybody is cringing at a judicial nominee’s inability to answer basic legal questions

On Wednesday, the Senate judiciary committee questioned Trump’s district judge nominees. Things got awkward real quick.

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) initiated a line of questioning that revealed that one nominee, Matthew S. Peterson, doesn’t know the first thing about the workings, laws, and procedures necessary for running a courtroom.

The world got a front seat to the interrogation when Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) tweeted the awkward exchange. He summed it all up with one painfully accurate phrase: Hoo-boy.

Tinder is already horrendously awkward for everyone involved — but when you make the whole thing an IRL experience, it gets even worse.

During a segment for Wedensday’s Late Late Show, James Corden treated one unfortunate staff member to a game of “Live Tinder”. It’s pretty much how it sounds — a bunch of guys came out onstage, and the Late Late Show staffer had to decide whether to keep them in the game or swipe them left into a ball pit. She then got to pick one of the final three to go on a date with.

Luckily, despite the high cringe-factor, the whole thing had a happy ending: the date (which took place in a conference room down the hall) clearly went well enough for the lucky guy to be invited back to a Late Late Show holiday party as a plus one. Read more…

If you’re a celebrity making a guest appearance on a show, you’re going to be expecting some kind of reaction.

Well, Rita Ora certainly got a reaction when she guest appeared on the German version of the singing competition The Voice — but mild confusion might not have been what she was hoping for.

In case you’ve never seen The Voice, it’s basically a contest where the four judges can’t see the person singing. They base their decision on whether or not to pick a contestant solely on the voice, and can only see what the person looks like after they’ve pressed a button and their chair has turned around.
