If you thought you would go your whole life without hearing “Dave Matthews” and “trap music” mentioned in the same sentence, I’m so sorry for what you’re about to see.

The Dave Matthews Band lead singer is known for songs like “Crash Into Me” — a sound and style that’s worlds apart from the music made of Cardi B and Lil Pump. But for reasons that remain unclear, Matthews appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform acoustic renditions of Migos’ “Stir Fry,” Cardi’s “Bodak Yellow,” and Lil Pump’s “Gucci Gang.”

There are a lot of stage names floating around in popular culture, and sometimes it feels like a full-time job just keeping them – and the real names behind them – straight. 

Take Donald Glover and his stage name Childish Gambino, for example. They’re one in the same, but not everyone knows this – including, it seems, Cardi B, who accidentally revealed on Twitter last week that she apparently had no idea that the actor and the musical artist are both Glover.

In a promptly-deleted tweet screen-grabbed by fans, Cardi shared the following: “It’s amazing how Donald Glover and Childish Gambino look soo much alike,” she wrote. “I think they secretly the same person!!! Soo dope!!”  Read more…

Don’t underestimate the power of a pregnant woman, especially if she’s Cardi B. 

On Sunday, the Grammy-nominated rapper performed a 30-minute set at Coachella and didn’t let her pregnancy stop her from dancing all over the stage. 

The “Bodak Yellow” star performed most of her new album Invasion of Privacy, but there was song in particular that got the soon-to-be mother twerking. She removed her jacket and started moving to “She Bad,” featuring YG.

Cardi B may be one of the biggest names in the music world right now, but unfortunately, some people still don’t know who she is, especially  parents. 

Josh Sobo received a text from his father earlier this week that included a selfie with Cardi B herself. He attached the photo with a message, “whose is Cardi b.” 

Um sir, she’s only a Grammy-nominated, certified gold, Queen of Instagram, and a talented rapper with hits like “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi.”
