7 of the best drip coffee makers to get your caffeine fix at home

TwitterFacebook

When it comes to rituals, few are appreciated more than the daily dose of coffee.

Whether it’s giving us life first thing in the morning, providing us with a very necessary midday pick-me-up, or just a reason to have our friends to stay a little bit longer after dinner — a lot of us need coffee like we need water and air. It is a nonnegotiable.

Getting your fix can be expensive (those grande caffè lattes from Starbucks add up), so it’s smart to brew your coffee yourself in the comfort of your own home. But any true coffee connoisseur knows that instant coffee just isn’t the same as freshly brewed. Read more…

Korn — yes, the metal band — now sells a branded ‘Korn Koffee’

TwitterFacebook

You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see one of your favorite childhood metal bands start peddling branded coffee.

Korn, the band whose angsty 1994 debut provided the soundtrack for my last two years of high school, has gotten into the coffee biz. This new development, a partnership with J Gursey Coffee, was announced on Friday in a tweet.

The weirdest thing about the announcement video is how normal and… ahem..grounded it is. Yes, pun definitely intended.

We are excited to announce Korn Koffee. Korn has collaborated with @jgurseycoffee to bring you a unique blend of beans worthy of the most die-hard coffee fans. Available Now: https://t.co/E1JQCApXRh pic.twitter.com/OuaLmxDVl0

9 of the best travel coffee mugs for your daily caffeine fix

TwitterFacebook

Thank goodness for caffeine. It gives you *superpowers* (bye, fatigue and grogginess!) for days when you’re tired from Fortnite matches or early morning workouts. It helps you power through the 9-to-5 grind when you’re sitting in client meetings or through finals week, when you’re camping out in the library.

We get it. You need your daily caffeine fix. But if you’re over dropping major bucks on hard-to-pronounce macchiatos or need a commute-friendly solution for your coffee, it might be time to invest in a good travel mug.

7 of the best coffee grinders to maximize your morning

There are few things better than the perfect cup of coffee

If you’re someone who’s ever thought about upping your coffee game—or simply trying to cut down on that daily Starbucks habit—but have no idea where to begin, buying a coffee grinder is a great first step. Grinding your own coffee may sound intimidating, but it’s actually pretty easy, and can make a huge difference in your coffee’s taste with minimal effort on your part. You just need to know where to start.

When it comes to coffee, like many things food-related, fresher is always better. Coffee goes stale pretty quickly, so buying pre-ground beans may seem like the better option, but it really means you’re losing out on both flavor and freshness. Grinding beans on the daily will undoubtedly yield coffee that’s brighter, deeper in flavor, and just an all around better experience. And it’s not as complicated—or as time consuming—as you might imagine. Read more…
