In The One Where Ross Insists It Wasn’t Him, David Schwimmer responded to the lookalike thief who’s on the run in Blackpool, UK.

“Officers, I swear it wasn’t me,” Schwimmer tweeted. “As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.”

He accompanied his defense with a video suspiciously similar to the CCTV screenshot posted by the Blackpool Police. Holding armfuls of beer — just like his dopplegänger — Schwimmer sneaks past a distinctive New York Yankees display as he glances at the camera. Read more…

Turns out Ross and Rachel from ‘Friends’ were initially never meant to go on a break

Yes, it’s been 14 years since Friends ended. But we’re still obsessed and we know you are too.

And one of the executive producers and directors of the show, Kevin S. Bright, has just revealed a pretty big piece of information about one of the most beloved couples in TV history.

Ross and Rachel, it turns out, were initially never meant to first break, and then break up, when they did. Their high-school-dream-come-true romance was not supposed to go awry. 

“When [Ross and Rachel] was planned it wasn’t planned that way, that came a little bit later,” Bright told Metro. “It allowed us to have fun with the show and give people something to root for.” Read more…

Today some exciting news was announced. At least it looked exciting enough to trend on Twitter.

The name “David Schwimmer” provoked a fair amount of confusion, not to mention amusement.

As well as appearing in a hit sitcom and playing Kim Kardashian’s dad, Schwimmer has spent 20 years at Goldman, most recently as global head of market structure and global head of metals and mining in its investment banking arm.
