Doug Jones’ gay son sentences Mike Pence to life in side-eye prison

Yesterday was a historic moment for side-eye — and, you know, the state of Alabama or whatever.

Democrat Doug Jones was sworn in Wednesday by Vice President Mike Pence, making him Alabama’s first Democratic Senator in 25 years. Alongside the newly minted senator was his son, Carson Jones, who is gay. During the swearing in, Carson delivered  some seriously harsh side-eye to our infamously anti-gay vice president.

There will be no chance of probation or parole in Carson Jones’ prison of judgment.

My 2018 aesthetic will be Carson Jones sideeyeing homophobe Mike Pence while his father, Doug Jones, is sworn into the US Senate. 😏 🏳️‍🌈 pic.twitter.com/l21UJ37Q8p

Democrat Doug Jones pulled a surprise win for the Alabama Senate seat against Trump-endorsed Republican candidate Roy Moore, who’s been accused of sexual misconduct and said America was last “great” when slavery was legal.

A preliminary exit poll conducted by Edison Research for the National Election Poll, The Washington Post, and other media showed that a strong turnout among black voters played a key role in electing Jones.

Doug Jones won Alabama and people are so, so happy

Hooooly crap, Doug Jones did it.

On Tuesday night, he became the first Democrat to win a Senate seat in Alabama since 1992, back when Kris Kross was still a thing.

Looks like saying homophobic and racist things — along with being accused of sexually assaulting teenagers — didn’t work out too well for Republican Roy Moore. The GOP’s advantage in the Senate has now been trimmed to 51-49, which is why the party is rushing to put the finishing touches on its tax plan.

Jones supporters, after freaking out about that damn New York Times needle, couldn’t contain their joy after several news outlets called the race for the Democrat. That included Hillary Clinton and Republican Sen. Jeff Flake.  Read more…
