Roger, the internet famous bucket crushing kangaroo, has died

TwitterFacebook

If you’ve spent quite a bit of time on the internet, you might’ve stumbled across Roger. But now, the famed marsupial is no longer with us.

The impressively buff red kangaroo has died aged 12, announced by The Kangaroo Sanctuary — the Australian refuge where he lived — in a Facebook post Saturday morning.

“Sadly Roger has passed away of old age,” reads the post. “He lived a lovely long life and was loved by millions around the world. We will always love you and miss you Roger.”

Roger became internet famous around 2015, when photos of him crushing buckets and looking frighteningly muscular circulated online.  Read more…

Kangaroo invades field, decides it wants to play goalkeeper

TwitterFacebook

Although there’s a lot of them around, Australians will have you believe that kangaroos aren’t actually hopping up and down our city streets.

Then something like this happens: A kangaroo delayed the second half of a match between soccer teams Blue Devils FC and Canberra FC on Sunday, when it hopped onto the field and set itself in front of goal.

While Australia has no shortage of decent goalkeepers, this little fella is also pretty adept at keeping a clean sheet.

A brief summary of why the second half was delayed today at Deakin, between @BLUE_DEVILSFC & @CanberraFC1 .

This kangaroo just wants to touch a golf flag and who can blame him

TwitterFacebook

Flags are just so flappy and fun.

In Australia on Wednesday a kangaroo was spotted on Noosa Golf Course, apparently mesmerised by a flapping golf flag.

Wallaby on the loose on city highway pursued by police

TwitterFacebook

Even though wallabies are native to Australia, you’d be hard-pressed to find them casually hopping around in the city.

It’s perhaps why police got quite the surprise when a swamp wallaby was found bouncing along the Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the city’s busiest roads, early Tuesday morning.

Traffic controllers and police monitored the wallaby’s trip down the highway, where it made an exit at the Cahill Expressway.

Take a look at this kangaroo being sexier than you’ll ever be

TwitterFacebook

Well that’s it, we’ve found a sexy kangaroo. Everyone go home, the human race has officially peaked.

A photo of a kangaroo lounging in front of a public toilet has been doing the rounds online because the roo in question is just so damn seductive.

Man feeds kangaroos toast, still gets attacked by one

TwitterFacebook

Another reminder that despite their somewhat cute appearance, kangaroos are yes, still wild animals.

An 80-year-old man has been injured after being attacked by a kangaroo on Thursday morning at Bendalong, located in New South Wales, Australia.

He suffered multiple cuts to his lower legs in the attack, according to a NSW Ambulance statement.

It was an unfortunate incident for the man, who fed local kangaroos every morning — in this case, one of the kangaroos became aggressive.
