Finding Dory may be swimming away on August 1st, but plenty of other heartwarming tales are on their way to your Netflix summer binge.

On the first of the month, 2007 romantic comedies P.S. I Love You and No Reservations will begin streaming–alongside the 1989 southern classic Steel Magnolias. The Netflix coming-of-age story To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before will be available on the 17th. And, finally, Season 2 of the relentlessly clever The Good Place becomes available August 28th.

Verizon is offering free Netflix with its Fios package

Verizon has a new, formidable partner: Netflix. 

Starting Tuesday, Verizon began bundling a free one-year Netflix subscription into its Fios Triple Play package (which includes internet, television, and phone service). 

Verizon Fios customers who subscribe to the company’s Multi-Room DVR Enhanced or Premium service will also be able to stream their favorite Netflix series directly to their TV. Just navigate to channel 838 to launch the service. 

Verizon isn’t the only company to offer such a bundleT-Mobile already offers free subscriptions to the streaming service to users with more than two lines on a voice plan. AT&T offers free HBO, and Sprint offers free access to Tidal’s streaming platform HiFi.  Read more…

Netflix drops super-charged trailer for Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Season 2

Jessica Jones is back for a second season, with Netflix dropping a teaser trailer and premiere date at CCXP in Sao Paulo over the weekend. The Marvel series will return on March 8, 2018 at 12:01 a.m. PT in all locations where Netflix is available. 

What can we expect from Season 2? Your favourite tough-as-nails private investigator, Jones (Krysten Ritter), is putting her life back together post-Kilgrave (as are we). She’s now known throughout New York City for her super-powers and her ability to, you know, kill folks. So she’s gonna jump into a little soul searching and figure out her origin story — Wolverine style. Read more…
