Olivia Colman is indisputably a national treasure. 

And, that status was well and truly confirmed (for the umpteenth time) during her Golden Globes acceptance speech. 

As Colman accepted the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role as Queen Anne in The Favourite, she gave a shout out to her co-stars Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz. 

“Ma bitches,” Colman said. “Emma and Rachel, thank you. Every second of working with you girls was such a joy, so much fun, I was so sad when it finished.” Read more…

The internet has waited with bated breath for a glimpse of Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II since it was first announced that she’d been cast in season 3 of The Crown

Hold your breath no more, for Netflix has released the very first shot of Colman as the Queen, looking pensive as she clutches a tea cup.
