Just in time for the holidays … a magnum bottle of ranch dressing

The worst kind of snobs are salad dressing snobs. As anyone with *real tastebuds* knows, ranch dressing is the best kind of dressing. 

Thankfully for some of us, Hidden Valley is releasing a giant magnum bottle of ranch dressing just in time for the holidays.

Call it a dumb corporate promotion if you want. I don’t care. There are thousands — perhaps even millions — of us out there who would love these enormous tubs of highly processed lard in their kitchen cabinet. 

This particular bottle will hold 1.75 liters of ranch dressing, as compared to the standard eight ounces. It currently retails for $25 online, and goes on sale December 3.  Read more…

Google removes egg from salad emoji to make it inclusive to vegans, the internet reacts

Google’s salad emoji is now egg-free, and more inclusive for vegans. 

This is according to Google UX Manager at Expression design team Jennifer Daniel, who tweeted about the change Wednesday, but likely didn’t expect the amount of attention she got.  

“There’s big talk about inclusion and diversity at Google so if you need any evidence of Google is making this priority may I direct your attention to the  🥗 emoji— we’ve removed the egg in Android P beta 2, making this a more inclusive vegan salad,” Daniel wrote. 

The tweet was accompanied by an image of said salad emoji, which consisted of lettuce, tomatoes and egg before, but now the egg is gone.  Read more…
