Hello to our new life coach, mentor, and role model: SZA’s mom.

SZA—singer of “All The Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack—shared a text message her mom sent her and it features some words to live by.

“Remember, you can even eat an elephant one bit at a time. To help change feeling stressed out and overwhelmed, jot down all the stuff that’s making you crazy, then write beside it what must be done NOW, what can be done LATER, and what would be nice to do if you could but is OPTIONAL,” wrote SZA’s mom.    Read more…

Black Panther is almost here but to tide you over, we finally have a music video for the soundtrack’s lead single, “All The Stars.”

Solange directed SZA’s latest music video in the most Solange-way possible

SZA’s album has been on almost every top album list this year (including our own). It’s no surprise there’s heavy anticipation for every visual she drops — and it turns out the wait for the official video for her single “The Weekend” has been well worth it.

Solange takes on the director role for the video and provides us with an extended cut of Cranes In The Sky visuals. Lots of long shots from far away, dancing, and a whole lot of cool from the dynamic duo.

We can only hope they’ll continue to collaborate in 2018 because the world needs more of this kind of magic.  Read more…
