As the finale of The Walking Dead Season 8 approaches, the star of the series Andrew Lincoln has offered some clues into how the 16th episode will be going down on April 15.

Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, told Entertainment Weekly Tuesday that the finale is going to be huge, as it looks like several storylines are going to be wrapping up in the next two episodes. Not just that, but it’s going to be a bit “unusual.”

“I would say this is a smorgasbord,” Lincoln told EW. “I think you’ve got everything in this one. It’s quite an unusual structure, but it’s very emotional, I hope, because that’s what I felt [while filming]. It’s epic.” Read more…

Warning: The following post contains spoilers for the most recent episode of The Walking Dead and the comics on which it is based.

In its final season, The Walking Dead is showing no mercy – but what else is new?

On Sunday night’s episode, we learned that Carl Grimes took a severe bite to the abdomen and his death is imminent. Carl, played by Chandler Riggs, has been on the show since Season 1 – the only character besides Rick who’s been around for that long. Riggs told The Hollywood Reporter that Carl is “definitely” at his end, halfway through Season 8.

‘The Walking Dead’ really needs to stop acting like it’s going to kill Daryl when we know it won’t

This post contains spoilers from The Walking Dead Season 8, episode 7, “Time for After.”

Comic fans got one hell of an unnecessary scare on the latest episode of The Walking Dead.

It really looked like fan favorite Daryl Dixon was about to find himself in a situation horrifyingly reminiscent of an infamous character death in the book.

In Robert Kirkman’s graphic novels, just like in the show, a group of people head to the Sanctuary to attack Negan and his Saviors once it’s surrounded by walkers. A character named Holly drives a truck into the Saviors’ base and is injured in the process.

Afterwards, Holly is taken prisoner and suffers almost the same fate as Sasha did in the Season 7 finale — she is killed and taken back to Alexandria where she’s revealed as a walker. Read more…

‘The Walking Dead’ just gave us the most devastating battle yet

This interview contains spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 8, episode 4, titled “Some Guy.” To refresh your memory of where we left off, check out our recap of episode 3.

Season 8 of The Walking Dead opened with a bang; Rick’s triumphant assault on the Sanctuary certainly made us believe that our heroes were starting off on the right foot. But the three most recent episodes have proven that Negan and his minions won’t go down without a fight, with devastating results.

“Some Guy” was a moment of reckoning for Ezekiel, the verbose and endlessly optimistic ruler of the Kingdom, who was forced to confront just how powerless he was after all of his soldiers — with the exception of Carol and Jerry (thank god) — were killed by the Saviors in episode 4. Luckily, Rick and Daryl were on hand to stop Negan’s henchmen from getting their stash of guns back to the Sanctuary, but the damage had already been done.  Read more…
