The dramatic new cover of ‘Time’ shows Trump ‘in deep’

TwitterFacebook

Donald Trump is in deep.

Time Magazine released its newest Trump-themed cover for the upcoming Sept. 3 issue, and if it looks a little familiar that’s because it’s the third installment in a series from collaborator Tim O’Brien.

The latest cover in the panic-inducing series shows the Oval Office filled with water, and though Trump’s head remains above water, he’s clearly struggling to stay afloat.

Amidst the floating papers and phone, we the words “In Deep” are visible.

Grand Seiko is an homage to watchmaking’s past

The 1960s were a beautiful time for watches. Horology was in its prime and the great names we know and love today – Rolex, Omega, Cartier – were just one of many watchmakers churning out commodity products to a world that needed to tell the time. Their watches – simple, elegant, and mechanically complex – […]

This three-axis tourbillon movement is a 3D printed marvel

The three-axis tourbillon is one of the most complex watch complications in the world. Originally based on a design by watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet, this type of tourbillon – literally “whirlwind” – rotates the balance wheel of a watch in order to ensure that gravity doesn’t adversely affect any part of the watch. It’s a clever, […]

‘Time’ allows rare cover redesign to illustrate the chaos that is Donald Trump

TwitterFacebook

A storm’s a brewin’ in the White House, and Time Magazine has found a way to perfectly illustrate the chaos on its latest cover.

In a rare callback cover, Time asked longtime collaborator Tim O’Brien to depict the absolute chaos that is Donald Trump as president of the United States.

The “Stormy” cover for the April 23 issue reimagines O’Brien’s “Nothing to See Here” cover from Feb. 27, 2017. This time Trump’s being heavily rained on and he’s nearly drowning in a rising tide.

Not a single soul was emotionally prepared for Daylight Savings

TwitterFacebook

Daylight Savings is a rough time for all.

Think about it — people lose an hour of sleep, they’re confused, they spend days trying to determine which clocks in their lives are displaying the correct time… it’s a mess.

To remind people to turn clocks ahead an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, the National Park Service shared a video on Facebook of a perplexed looking fox springing headfirst into the snow. And sadly, as Americans struggled to wake up on Sunday morning they realized they were no better than this unprepared little fox.
