‘Sims 4’ announces first-person mode, players instantly plot to do the nasty

“Finally I can see my sims fuck in first person.” We were all thinking it, but this Twitter user said it. 

In a recent Twitch livestream, EA announced that the ever-evolving world of Sims would be getting a first-person video mode in The Sims 4. Exciting, right? 

You can watch your Sims do dishes, surf the web, meet neighbors, play with animals, brush their tee—just kidding, it is obviously time to bone. 

EA packaged the update (which is accompanied by a number of other features) as innocently as ever. But in a game practically made famous by sexy dollhouse vibes, they had to have seen this coming.  Read more…

Fortnite is celebrating ‘Shark Week’ because why the fin not?

Holy mackerel! Everyone’s favorite summer obsessions are colliding. (No, not Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Hereditary. But, I’m here for that too.) 

In honor of Discovery’s annual ode to aquatic nightmares, Fortnite is providing players with new Shark Week-themed items and a fishing-inspired emote.

Prior to Shark Week‘s Sunday premiere, Epic Games promoted the new features on Twitter. And they’re pretty much the most Fortnite things ever.

Microsoft Windows Notepad app gets first update in years

There’s good news for people who still use Windows Notepad: For the first time in years, big changes are coming to the app — and some of those changes are all thanks to you.

Windows announced yesterday that the next Windows 10 update will include some quality of life improvements for its iconically clunky app. Microsoft wrote in the announcement that it employed user feedback to determine its new features, which include the ability to delete a whole word by hitting Ctrl + Backspace.

This update, which is right on the heels of Microsoft Office’s revamp last month, will come with Redstone 5 (the codename for Microsoft’s impending update) predicted to launch later this year. If it goes smoothly, the update would be a positive move for the tech giant after a spate of — shall we say — less-than-smooth rollouts these past few months. Read more…
