Sleep like a baby with this luxe bamboo sheet set that just went on sale

TwitterFacebook

If “seeing visions of sugarplums” is code for “getting restful sleep,” you’d hope it’s happening more than just on Christmas Eve. But according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a third of us don’t get enough slumber (at least seven hours per night) on a regular basis, which can lead to chronic conditions including high blood pressure, stroke, heart disease, and something called “frequent mental distress.” That’s… not great.

Consider for a moment that addressing your dozing woes may require little more than a change of bedding. (Worth a shot, right?)

The Bamboo Comfort 6-Piece Luxury Sheet Set is silky-soft — softer than 1,000-thread count Egyptian cotton, in fact — and crafted from breathable, organic fabric that’s wrinkle-resistant, hypo-allergenic, and environmentally friendly. Plus, they’re available in your choice of five hues — white, sage, grey, ivory, and taupe — all of which stay vibrant after multiple washes.  Read more…

Perhaps there is a person in your life for whom finding a gift is a little … intimidating. They’re super picky, they’re detail-oriented, and, frankly, they hate a bunch of stuff.

Congrats! You know a snob.

Voluspa is not the fanciest candle brand, but anyone who’s walked into an Anthropologie, smelled everything, and then left knows it’s a little bit fancy. Read more…

Small acts in your daily life that can have a big impact on the planet

TwitterFacebook

It’s pretty terrifying to realise that we are “the first generation that knows we are destroying the world, and could be the last that can do anything about it,” as the WWF puts it

However daunting it is, when it comes to thinking about climate change as a whole, being overwhelmed and shutting down makes zero sense, because individual acts can make a huge difference.

As I once heard – and have never really been able to slip into conversation – one bee is an annoyance, but a swarm is a game changer. Small acts in big amounts are a force to be reckoned with. Read more…
