Lady Gaga posts inspiring Instagram after ‘Shallow’ rises to number 1 in the charts

As Lady Gaga’s famous quote goes, there can be a hundred records in the charts, and 99 don’t reach the top. But one does.

And that one record happens to be hers. “Shallow” is number one on the Hot 100 along with the soundtrack to A Star Is Born. 

This is a major milestone for Gaga, who wrote on Instagram that it’s her first number 1 in eight years. “It feels like ‘Just Dance’ going number one all over again,” she wrote.  

Gaga also posted some advice in light of reaching her milestone. 

“Rule #1: Never give up. Rule #2: Always listen to rule #1,” she wrote.   Read more…

If you liked A Star Is Born, you’ll love A Star Is Korn. Probably.

The stunningly funny parody trailer is a lot like that of the hit film starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, except it focuses on the musical rise of Jonathan Davis, lead vocalist of the metal band Korn. Lmao.

We can see how A Star Is Korn might not sound like a trailer everyone wants to see, but stick with it until 1:11 at least. Trust us.

Comedians @badcomixbyanna and @HhiggZ — who star as Bradley Cooper and Jonathan Davis — were sadly snubbed by the Oscars on Sunday. But hey, maybe Korn will see this comedic masterpiece and show them some love. Read more…

If there’s one thing Mother Monster knows how to do, it’s put on a show — anywhere, anytime. 

A behind-the-scenes clip of Lady Gaga on the set of A Star Is Born recently popped up online, showing the pop icon thanking the film’s crowd of extras after filming Ally and Jackson’s first performance of “Shallow.” 

She begins with some traditional thank yous and tells everyone to have a great night. Then her fingers twitch and “I want your love and I want your revenge” comes wafting over the crowd. 

It’s a super brief throwback to “Bad Romance,” but it’s also so freaking good. Yaaas, Ally. Work that nostalgia. Read more…

In case you haven’t heard, Alicia Keys is going to be hosting the 2019 Grammy Awards. 

On The Late Late Show, Keys – who has won 15 Grammys herself, but never hosted before – asked two-time Grammy host James Corden for advice. 

Corden delivered, and did it all in a pretty damn good parody cover of the hit song “Shallow” from A Star Is Born.

Jackson Maine — er, uh, Bradley Cooper — joined Lady Gaga onstage Saturday night for a surprise performance of “Shallow,” the duo’s hit song from A Star Is Born.

Cooper was in the audience for Gaga’s Enigma residency in Las Vegas, and the crowd enjoyed a nice surprise when he popped onstage for the duet. (There could be 100 people in a room, but only one Bradley Cooper was in A Star Is Born.) 

Gaga was visibly moved by the experience, giving Cooper the universe’s longest hug and kneeling at his feet for the first verse. Read more…

You can always rely on Lady Gaga to make a statement with her outfits. And a statement she most certainly made with her Valentino dress on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.

Gaga’s dress bore a strong resemblance to the gown worn by Judy Garland in the original A Star Is Born movie from 1954.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate this brilliant meme crossover.

In a trailer released Monday, we got a sneak peek at Pokeémon: Detective Pikachu, the bizarre live-action attempt to bring the beloved game characters to life. Twitter latched on to one scene from the trailer in which an irate Jigglypuff performs in a grungy music lounge.
