Even Conan O’Brien’s playing God of War.

For his latest “Clueless Gamer” segment, the Late Night host wielded a Leviathan axe to play the wildly popular game with “the ultimate He-Man,” actor and comedian Bill Hader.

The pair gave their most brutal, unimpressed commentary to PlayStation’s record-breaking smash hit —  the game sold 3.1 million copies in its first three days, making it the fastest-selling PS4-exclusive ever.

Fair warning, God of War megafans, they’re not exactly kind to the game. “This is recreating the awkward silences I’ve had with my father,” says O’Brien of the relationship between protagonist Kratos and his son Atreus. Too close to home, eh? Read more…

Bill Hader reveals the worst-behaved ‘SNL’ musical guest during his tenure

Working with celebrities isn’t all sunshine and roses. Take it from two Saturday Night Live alums. 

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Bill Hader and Jay Pharoah revealed the “worst-behaved” musical guest they’d ever encountered during their time on the show: Justin Bieber.

“He was in a bad place,” Hader told Andy Cohen as Pharoah agreed. “Maybe he’s in a better place, but then he was in a very – it was rough.” As he recalled it, Bieber “just seemed exhausted or at the end of his rope.”

And while a hot young celebrity acting out is hardly shocking, Bieber stood out because most SNL guests don’t act that way. “Everyone’s usually on great behavior,” said Hader. Read more…

It’s always a gift when the live sketch comedy gets so intense on Saturday Night Live that someone “breaks” — which is to say, they break character and laugh.

The latest SNL, featuring guest host (and former cast member) Bill Hader, took breaks to a new level: Everyone laughed.

In the sketch, a group of friends (Heidi Gardner, Aidy Bryant, Melissa Villaseñor) watch in horror as a fourth friend (Cecily Strong) commits a grave social faux pas in bringing her geriatric new husband along to their weekly game night. The horror only intensifies when the old man’s Cialis kicks in, and the newlyweds seize the babymaking opportunity right there in front of everyone. Read more…
