Elon Musk’s Boring Company wants to build a tunnel to Dodger Stadium

TwitterFacebook

How do you solve the problem of traffic jamming every time there’s a match at the Dodger Stadium? If you ask Elon Musk, it’s simple: Dig a tunnel.

In a blog post published Thursday, the company detailed its vision for the Dugout Loop — a “zero-emissions, high-speed, underground public transportation system from the Los Feliz, East Hollywood, or Rampart Village neighborhoods (“western terminus”) to Dodger Stadium in the City of Los Angeles.”

The Dugout Loop aims to reduce the often horrid Los Angeles traffic, especially during events at the Dodger Stadium. According to the company, the project will transport people in the neighborhoods outlined above to the stadium in “less than 4 minutes.” Read more…

People are sharing their most mundane celebrity encounters and they’re surprisingly entertaining

TwitterFacebook

Celebrities are people too, and capable of entirely meaningless, mundane encounters.

Podcaster and writer John Moe posed a question on Twitter on Sunday.

Your most boring, mundane, inconsequential celebrity encounter. Go!

— John Moe (@johnmoe) April 27, 2018

The answers were plentiful and gloriously yawn-worthy.

I asked Winona Ryder where the bathroom was, and she very kindly said it was “down the hall.” https://t.co/1eHsOP9Pgx

When I was working at the Mobil station in Woodstock, NY, Ethan Hawke came in and bought a pack of Juicy Fruit. “.75 cents” i said. He gave me a 5 dollar bill. I gave him four dollars and 25 cents. He said “Thanks.” https://t.co/LIgbNPrfI1

Donald Trump just called his remarks ‘boring’ and threw away his notes

TwitterFacebook

Just when you think Donald Trump can’t shock you, he manages to pull another rabbit out of his hat.

Speaking at an economic roundtable on Thursday afternoon in West Virginia, he exhibited a little of that devil-may-care Trumpitude that fared so well with his base on the campaign trail but left the rest of us stunned.

Rather than read off his prepared remarks, Trump called his notes “boring” and just tossed them away because off-the-cuff Trump is most definitely not boring.
