Drake’s ‘I’m upset’ video is basically one massive ‘Degrassi’ reunion

TwitterFacebook

Drake went back to school in his just-dropped video for “I’m Upset”—Degrassi High School, to be precise.

Drizzy brought together his fellow cast mates from the show Degrassi: The Next Generation — in which he starred as a teenager from 2001 until 2005 — for one giant and truly wonderful reunion.

The video features his Degrassi co-stars Lauren Collins (Paige Brooks), Ephraim Ellis (Rick Murray), Shane Kippel (Gavin “Spinner” Mason), Nina Dobrev (Mia Jones), and Stefan Brogran (Archie “Snake” Simpson).

Per Pitchfork, Drake’s upcoming album Scorpion is set to arrive on June 29.  Read more…

If you’ve been anywhere near the internet over the past 24 hours, chances are you’ll have heard about Pusha T’s Drake diss track “The Story of Adidon” — and the controversy over the video’s featured image, which appears to show Drake in blackface.

Shortly after the video’s release, Pusha took to Twitter to claim the photo is “a REAL picture”.

Please stop referring to this picture as “artwork”…I’m not an internet baby, I don’t edit images…this is a REAL picture…these are his truths, see for yourself https://t.co/gd6vRS3HM8 pic.twitter.com/2el58HEZ8F

The reviews are in for Drake’s newest single, ‘I’m Upset,’ and they’re not that great

TwitterFacebook

Drake’s upset — and some fans might be, too.

The rapper dropped his second single on Saturday night in preparation for his forthcoming album, Scorpion. The track, “I’m Upset,” has hit number one on the iTunes charts already, but folks online aren’t necessarily singing its praises.

On the song, Drake raps about a lot of things, including the women he’s thankful to know, and keeping his money straight despite his relationships.

It’s your classic Drake fodder, but considering “I’m Upset” is Drake’s followup to the two smash hits he’s delivered with “God’s Plan” and “Nice For What,” people aren’t too keen on this single.  Read more…

Drake follows through on designing this high school custom uniforms, which feature the perfect lyric

TwitterFacebook

During the filming of “God’s Plan,” Drake gave away a lot of money to the good people of Miami — $1 million to be exact. But while creating the tear-jerker of a video, he also apparently made a promise to the students of Miami High School that he would design custom uniforms for the students to rock.

Turns out Good Guy Drake is following through with that and the students might be getting them just in time for summer break.

“Miami High new alternate uniforms,” Drake wrote on his Instagram story over the weekend, proclaiming in a hashtag that he too would be wearing the uniform this summer.  Read more…

15 March Madness brackets for people who hate sports

TwitterFacebook

Let’s face it — March Madness is complicated and very stressful, if you’re into, you know, sports.

For the rest of us, March Madness consists of 21 very normal days. We have no interest in learning and probably don’t care much about basketball. However, the idea of choosing and seeing your pick win, well, it might not be so bad after all.

Of course the internet didn’t waste any time. Many created their own brackets, from famous rappers to mathematicians.

It goes to show the challenge can be for everyone, even non-sports fans.  Read more…

The squad casually drummed up over 600,000 live viewers at one point.

While Mashable has reached out to Twitch to officially confirm that this is a record for the streaming platform, the previous record was held by Dr. DisRespect, who reached a total of 388,000 concurrent viewers in February 2018.
