Hillary Clinton replies to AOC’s take down of Jared Kushner and we all need a minute

TwitterFacebook

Brace yourself: AOC and Hillary Clinton have joined forces on Twitter to created a clapback so powerful that you may need to take a some deep breaths to compose yourself.

It went down on Thursday night, when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a very straightforward “But his WhatsApp,” after it was alleged that Jared Kushner had been communicating with foreign officials using WhatsApp.

Kushner’s behavior is obviously problematic on any number of levels, not least of which is that his father-in-law, President Donald Trump, ran his campaign against Hillary Clinton almost exclusively on the charge that she’d used a private email server while she was secretary of stateLock her up, etc.  Read more…

Watch Hillary Clinton answer a cute FaceTime call from her grandchildren during an event

TwitterFacebook

Hillary Clinton did something this week that I cannot fathom doing: She answered an unexpected FaceTime call in public.

On Tuesday night, Clinton spoke at a launch event for the political action committee Vote Mama, which fundraises for progressive female candidates with children under the age of 18. Mid-speech, her phone started to ring. But instead of silencing it and turning beet-red, as I would, she picked it up.

“It’s my grandchildren on FaceTime,” she said.

It ended up being a cute moment — Clinton’s grandchildren, Charlotte and Aiden, ended up saying hi to everyone in the room.  Read more…

Hillary Clinton subtweeted Trump with a ‘Mean Girls’ reference and we are screaming

TwitterFacebook

It’s been two and a half years since the hellscape that was the 2016 presidential election, but Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have not stopped bickering over Twitter.

On Tuesday, Clinton subtweeted Trump with a classic teen movie quote.

Trump, ignoring the fact that it’s 2019 and the election is long over, mocked Clinton for not running in 2020.

“Aw-shucks, does that mean I won’t get to run against her again?” the president tweeted. “She will be sorely missed!”

“(Crooked) Hillary Clinton confirms she will not run in 2020, rules out a third bid for White House.” Aw-shucks, does that mean I won’t get to run against her again? She will be sorely missed!
