What’s coming to Hulu in June

TwitterFacebook

Don’t cancel your Hulu membership if you’ve got Gilead fatigue – summer is a perfect time to catch up on all the shows you’ve been putting off during summer hiatus (find out if Brooklyn Nine-Nine lives up to the hype!) (It does) – not to mention, hundreds of movies.

Here’s what’s coming to Hulu in June.

Top pick: The Bold Type

Freeform’s drama about three young women in the media industry seems like a guilty pleasure at first glance, but the series is truly endearing. Sure, there’s plenty of millennial NYC drama (Younger fans will fall hard), but the ladies of The Bold Type are complex, intersectional, ambitious, and they are fierce friends throughout. Those lines featured Steve Bannon calling Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russians “treasonous.” Shortly afterward, Wolff released a giant, damning, scarily revealing excerpt with New York Magazine titled: “Donald Trump Didn’t Want to Be President.”

A note following the excerpt, which was adapted from Wolff’s book, explains “how he got the story,” and says the inside information was gathered in part from more than 200 interviews that the author conducted starting shortly after inauguration day. Read more…

Your Thanksgiving won’t be complete without these 8 comedy episodes

It may be what Schmidt from New Girl once labeled the “least sexy American holiday,” but Thanksgiving is a great time for food, and even better, for TV. Chase your turkey dinner by binging these festive episodes, and give thanks for peak TV.

Master of None, Season 2, episode 7: “Thanksgiving”

One of the best television episodes of 2017 is also an oustanding holiday episode and beautiful character study for Denise (Lena Waithe) on Master of None.
