Mariah Carey continues to be an absolute icon with her 10-year challenge

Mariah Carey does not allow herself to age. 

She recently posted her take on the 10-year challenge, which has people comparing photos of themselves from 2009 and 2019. 

“I don’t get this 10-year challenge, time is not something I acknowledge,” she tweeted, along with two of the same bomb photos side by side.

Now more than ever, celebrities have been opening up about their experiences with mental health issues — and Mariah Carey now joins the ranks of the stars who hope to shatter stigma surrounding various disorders.

The singer, who is typically very private, got incredibly candid with People in a new interview, revealing for the first time in her storied career that 17 years ago she was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder, which is marked by bouts of depression and mania, as well as sleeplessness and irritability.

And this time, she’s weighed in on the current most popular meme on the internet. And, she absolutely slayed every other version of the meme. 

Mariah tweeted the words “If you don’t love me at my” beneath a shot of her character in the 2009 movie Precious, in which she played social worker Ms. Weiss. 

The words “then you don’t deserve me at my” were written below the album cover of The Emancipation of Mimi from 2005.

Alas, Christmas is all but done and dusted. But, Mariah Carey isn’t anywhere near ready to bid farewell to her favourite time of the year. 

You might recall that Mariah put up her Christmas tree back at the beginning of October. Well, she’s now advocating leaving the damn thing up until July.

At Christmas time Mariah Carey, who is very festive, gains special powers, because she is the Christmas Queen.

Fans shared a video of Mariah signing autographs in the middle of her show earlier this week, which is honestly a very weird thing to do, and likely messes with the entire flow of the whole thing. Anyway, Mariah appears to be sitting on a small stool or chair during the impromptu signing, but right before the clip ends, she stands, and there is NOTHING behind her for support.
