In weird career move, Sean Spicer is now talking about the Oscars on ‘ExtraTV’

TwitterFacebook

Like an unexpected cold wind in the middle of this long, dark winter, Sean Spicer has swept back in to our lives once more.

The former Press Secretary for the Trump Administration is back in the public eye as a “special correspondent” for, of all things, the syndicated ExtraTV entertainment news show.

In a new video posted by ExtraTV on Twitter, a hiking-vested Spicer is seen joshing around with current Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife Susan about the Oscars.

Here are the most unforgettable Wikipedia vandalism trolls of all time

TwitterFacebook

It’s Troll Week on Mashable. Join us as we explore the good, the bad, and the ugly of internet trolling.

It may seem counterintuitive, but it’s possible for trolling to reach an art form — think subtle and even sublime — especially when it happens via Wikipedia, the internet’s open-source encyclopedia.

In fact, Wikipedia vandalism has become so prevalent that the site’s many editors are on constant notice for it, ready to erase these moments of altered history as quickly as they go up.

But thanks to Wikipedia’s deep trove of version histories and the beauty of screenshots, many of these changes live on forever. They bring us joy and laughter when we need it most … which, these days, is a lot. Read more…

Sam Bee crashes Sean Spicer’s book release parties with hilarious results

TwitterFacebook

Sentient jar of expired mayonnaise and former Trump press secretary Sean Spicer recently put out a book that has earned Spicer even more scorn — and that’s before this clip from Full Frontal with Samantha Bee aired on Wednesday night.

America’s favorite bush hider wasn’t ready for Bee and her team, much like he was never ready for even the easiest question from the press. As Spicer tries to levy his post-White House life for fun and profit, the Full Frontal team was hell-bent on making sure it was anything but unicorns and rainbows.

The results are, predictably, hilarious — from cornering him at a Barnes & Noble appearance to showing up at a Rhode Island country club shindig, the show gave Spicer the added bit of heat he so richly deserves.  Read more…

Surprise! Sean Spicer’s book is full of incorrect ‘facts.’

TwitterFacebook

Sean Spicer’s back, and yep, he’s still in desperate need of a personal fact-checker.

On Tuesday, “The Briefing: Politics, the Press, and the President,” a memoir written by the former White House press secretary, was published, but sadly the contents are not entirely accurate.

In the book, Spicer — who infamously lied about inauguration crowd sizes — gets important names wrong, and even says Barack Obama was president in 1999. Oops. That’s an error so mortifying an author might feel compelled to hide in the bushes.

In a review on Tuesday, Jonathan Karl called Spicer out for his error-filled book in The Wall Street Journal, explaining, “Mr. Spicer has not been well served by the book’s fact checkers and copy editors.” Read more…

Sean Spicer really wants you to know he was NOT hiding in the bushes

TwitterFacebook

You can take Sean Spicer out of the White House, but you’ll never be able to take him out of the bushes.

It’s been more than a year since Spicer was reportedly seen hiding from reporters in — wait sorry, among — some bushes outside of the White House, but he’s still being asked about his unique method of dealing with media interviews after FBI Director James Comey was fired.

On Thursday, Rolling Stone published an interview with the former press secretary, in which he chatted about his White House regrets, those infamous inauguration crowd brags, and, of course, the whole ~bushes~ debacle.

Sean Spicer introducing wax doll of Melania Trump is a new low for America

TwitterFacebook

In America, you’re truly haven’t made it until you’ve been cast in wax and thrown into the most vile neighborhood in America: Times Square.

On Wednesday, New York City’s Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum introduced the latest prominent waxwork to their collection: Melania Trump. Wax Melania will stand in the “World Leaders Hall” section, which also includes Nelson Mandela and Malcolm X — legendary leaders who sought freedom and racial justice, while she was busy advancing the Obama birther conspiracy and helping to elect a know-nothing demagogue president.

Nuances, schmuances. And who better to introduce a wax exhibit than Sean Spicer, a man who voluntarily hollowed out his core in order to serve the Trump administration? Read more…

How the White House press conference became 2017’s must-see TV

On Saturday, January 21, 2017, the Trump administration began not with a gentle dose of diplomacy but with a red-faced tirade delivered by Press Secretary Sean Spicer, lambasting the media over reports of low attendance at the previous day’s inaugura…

The most insane White House presser moments of 2017

TwitterFacebook

Prior to 2017, my knowledge of White House press briefings came entirely from The West Wing. I thought fictional press secretary CJ Cregg’s collegial relationship with the White House press corps was typical. Oh how wrong I was — at least for the Trump administration.

A hostile relationship between the press and the White House emerged as soon as Sean Spicer took the podium in January 2017 and continued after his July resignation and the appointment of the more restrained Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Throughout the year, the antagonistic briefings have ranged from absurd to infuriating.
