‘I’m baby’ is the new ‘they did surgery on a grape’ and it’s beautiful

In better news, a beautifully meaningless meme is on the rise. And did you know I’m baby?
The internet loves nothing more than absurd inside jokes. If you know, you know, and if you don’t, you’re not baby. I’m baby.

Aggressive Instagramming is ruining Southern California’s super bloom

TwitterFacebook

People trampled California’s poppies for the ‘gram, and ruined it for the rest of us.

Fields of fiery “super bloom” poppies are lighting up the hills of Walker Canyon in Lake Elsinore, a city about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Thanks to uncommonly heavy rains this winter, much of Southern California is seeing a massive burst of wildflower blooms across the state. The poppies in Walker Canyon are so lush, they can be seen from space.

Man returns to his car to find a koala chilling in air-conditioned comfort

TwitterFacebook

Air conditioning is a gift — one that belongs to humans and koalas alike.

Tim Whitrow, an Australian winemaker, was recently visiting a vineyard and left his car door open with teh air conditioning on to help keep his dog cool in the heat. When he returned to the vehicle he found a Koala chilling in the back seat.

It took a little bit for Whitrow to finally get the koala to leave.

“As I was moving to another part of the vineyard I noticed that someone else was also in the car enjoying the A/C. It took a fair bit of convincing to get the feisty little fella out,” Whitrow wrote on Facebook.

Why anyone would want a koala out of their car and not in their arms, to be held forever, is beyond me. My fantasy pet combination is a dog and a koala. Imagine coming home to not one but two furry things. Read more…

Say hello to this photo of Tim Cook writing on an iPad that was made to be meme’d

TwitterFacebook

Hello, Mr. Apple. Nice to see you back in the meme circuit again.

If you’ve been missing Tim Cook since the Tim Apple meme died down a bit, you’re in luck. Twitter users are trolling the Apple CEO yet again, after he posted a photo of himself writing “hello” on an iPad on Monday morning.

The iPad in Cook’s hand provided a white canvas that basically screamed “meme me,” so naturally, that’s exactly what his followers did.

The screen was painfully simple to Photoshop, so many decided to replace the word “hello” with other hilarious messages to Trump, Spotify, and more. Read more…

Teen eggs politician. Now he’s being offered free tickets to concerts for life.

TwitterFacebook

It’s the egging that’s gone around the world.

Bands and festivals have offered a lifetime of free tickets to a teen who cracked an egg into the back of an Australian senator’s head, after the politician blamed Muslim immigration for the Christchurch terrorist attack.

The likes of hip hop festival Rolling Loud have offered “eggboy,” as the teen has become known, free tickets for life, as have bands like The Amity Affliction and Violent Soho.

Someone put us in touch with #eggboy because we want to give him free tickets for life 🙏

Teen eggs an Australian official after his racist reaction to the New Zealand shooting

TwitterFacebook

One Australian teen gave the world a much-needed moment of catharsis on Saturday, egging Australian senator Fraser Anning over his reaction to the horrific Christchurch, New Zealand mass shooting and taking a punch in the face for his efforts.

Video of the incident, showing the teen sliding up behind Anning while he spoke to reporters, immediately went viral. The teen splats an egg on the back of Anning’s head, filming the whole thing with his phone, which prompted Anning to spin around and throw a punch at the kid.

Donald Trump tweeted ‘VETO!’ and everyone trolled him with Beto

TwitterFacebook

Is Donald Trump team Beto?

One would think not, but on same day that former Congressman Beto O’Rourke publicly announced his plans to run for president, the country’s current president boldly tweeted “VETO!” Hmm…

VETO!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 14, 2019

At first glance, many people who had the charismatic, book and burger-loving dad on the brain, saw the word “BETO.” And because Trump is known for his Twitter typos, and V and B are right next to each other on a keyboard, it took people a second to realize he was actually announcing his intention to veto the Senate’s vote rejecting Trump’s declaration of a National Emergency over immigration at the southwestern border.  Read more…
