Lawmaker filmed using the n-word on ‘Who Is America?’ announces resignation

Jason Spencer, the Georgia lawmaker who was filmed shouting the n-word over and over again on the second episode of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Who Is America?, has now announced he’s stepping down.

He submitted a letter to Georgia House Speaker David Ralston, according to CNN, in which he said his resignation will take effect on 31 July.

Spencer featured in the second episode of Cohen’s satirical mockumentary. The bizarre clip, in which Spencer carries out Cohen’s instructions as part of what he believes to be an anti-terror training programme, can be seen in full below: Read more…
