Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg surprised Golden Globes attendees with, uh, free flu shots

The Golden Globes this year were sick.

So sick in fact, that co-hosts Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg decided to give out “$50,000 worth” of FREE FLU SHOTS to attendees in place of something far more enjoyable like delivery pizza.

In the unexpected bit, “trained nurses” emerged from the stage to LMFAO’s good old club banger “Shots” and made their way through the audience of nervous celebs with needles in hand. 

Samberg assured folks this is what they came for, pointing out all the sleeveless dresses in the room, and gave any anti-vaxxers in the room — who were probably seconds away from standing up and walking out — a generous head’s up. Read more…

Joining the royal family means working now and again.  

Meghan Markle did her first awards event as a soon-to-be royal on Thursday. The event was the Endeavour Fund Awards, which celebrates the achievements of wounded, injured and sick former service-personnel in the fields of sport and adventurous challenges.

Markle was just about ready to hand out some awards, when there was a small snafu with her and her co-presenter’s notes.

Grammys night has finally arrived, which means we’ve got a new round of red carpet fashions to marvel over.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of music’s biggest awards — hosted by James Corden — stars like Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Kesha, Lady Gaga, and more brought their most stylish looks to the red carpet at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Many also made the decision to wear white roses to show their support for Time’s Up, the movement created by more than 300 women in the entertainment industry that aims to fight sexual harassment across all industries.

Sterling K. Brown just made history at the SAG Awards

Sterling K. Brown has just made history, becoming the first black actor to win the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama. 

Taking home the gong for his role in NBC’s breakout drama of the 2016-2017 season, This Is Us, Brown gave an inspirational speech at the award ceremony on Sunday.

“What a blessing it is to do what you love for a living,” he said. “What an honor it is to be recognized by your peers for a job well done. This room is a source of endless inspiration for me. I love all of y’all. People call us weird and strange; the truth of the matter is everybody’s weird and strange, and we just embrace ourselves for who we are.” Read more…

Genuine wonder woman Gal Gadot delivered one heck of an inspiring speech at the 23rd Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday.

Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins presented the Marvel star with the #SeeHer Award, which recognizes actors who present female characters with accuracy and integrity, challenging female stereotypes both on screen and within the entertainment industry.

“She didn’t do it for the glory. She didn’t do it for the fame. She’s not here for the money. She did it for us. She knew the great importance of this character and what she could mean to the world if well done,” said Jenkins before presenting the award to Gadot, who led the film that would cross the $5 billion mark at the global box office in 2017.
