DO NOT give access to that app promising a baby pooping video

TwitterFacebook

Giving a random video app access to your Twitter account is a pretty straightforward “nup,” right?

Even so, a Twitter phishing scam is tricking people into allowing access to their accounts in order to watch a silly video titled “Baby Poops In His Onesie, But Dog’s Response Leaves Millions Of People In Hysterics.”

Before you click it, DO NOT.

The Verge reports that a number of people in the media have been affected this week, including New York Times literary critic Dwight Garner, Fox News’ Brit Hume and Mother Jones editor-in-chief Clara Jeffery.  Read more…

Little boy uses sign language to call for help while on Santa’s lap

TwitterFacebook

A little boy creeped out while sitting on Santa’s lap used baby sign language to tell his parents he was not feeling safe with Old Saint Nick.

Kerry Spencer shared an old photo of her son hanging out with a pretty convincing looking mall Santa when he was just 1 year old.

“We taught our baby sign language. This is the sign for ‘help.’ You’re welcome,” she wrote.

As if the little one even needed to sign for help. His face says it all.

Since sign language can have some variations, a few people on Twitter pointed out that this didn’t look exactly like the sign for help.  Read more…

Fatherhood has changed, and so have the stock photos

TwitterFacebook

A father leans in, watching his daughter as she paints his nails. He’s sporting a feather boa, she’s wearing a tiara. Another man smiles as he listens to his kid sitting on the kitchen counter next to a rolling pin, measuring cups, and a laptop. She’s stirring ingredients as he steadies the bowl

These are the scenes depicted in two of Getty Images’ most-downloaded photos of fathers from 2016 and 2017, respectively. The tender moments are a world away from a popular shot from a decade ago: a father roughhousing with his son, diving for the ol’ pigskin in the yard.

The shift is an important one. Stock photos represent the broadest brush strokes of how we see ourselves. They’re the images used in commercials, on billboards, on websites, on social media, even in textbooks. As dads, statistically, become more involved in child-rearing and home care, Getty, a leader in the stock photo world, is striving to show that. Read more…

Footballer leaves game after scoring two goals to catch the birth of his baby

TwitterFacebook

Does two goals and a new baby count as a hattrick?

Footballer Ryan Colclough had a truly extraordinary night on Tuesday. Wigan were playing Doncaster and he was on top form having scored one goal already, when at half-time he heard that his partner had gone into labour.

He stayed just long enough to score Wigan’s third goal of the match, before rushing off to be with his partner as she gave birth to their son.

Congrats to Ryan Colclough who scored a brace tonight in our win before being substituted to make it in time to see the birth of his son! 👏🏼 pic.twitter.com/Efvjk9P3sw
