Captain America hates you, CES

TwitterFacebook

Dear CES, Captain America is not here for your bullshit.

As the tech journalists of the world converge en masse this week on the annual Las Vegas consumer electronics show known as CES, Chris Evans — the actor who famously stars as Captain America in the Marvel cinematic universe — tweeted a message seemingly tailored to dunk on the convention’s entire raison d’etre. Namely, that so-called “smart” gadgets are trash.

“Dear All Technology,” wrote the embodiment of a certain kind of American fantasy, “Remember the 90’s when you just WORKED??? I don’t need a ‘smart’ feature on my TV, thermostat, lights, music, refrigerator, security cameras, and f-ing car.” Read more…

Captain America just put the president of America in his place, so that’s where we’re at

TwitterFacebook

America could use a hero right about now, and Chris Evans (aka, Captain America) seems up for the job.

On Monday, Donald Trump held a joint press conference with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland. He — the US president, that is — spent a good amount of time defending Russia and bashing America, the FBI, the Mueller probe, and Hillary Clinton.

Evans, who portrays a man who literally dedicates his life to defending America, did not approve of Trump’s behavior, and decided to @ the president and the GOP on Twitter to ask what the heck is wrong with everybody.

Someone gave Captain America Billy Eichner’s voice and Chris Evans loves it

That’s what one admittedly tired Twitter user has realized, overlaying a scene from Captain America: Civil War with the frenzied sounds of a bit…

The Marvel Cinematic Universe would be 1,000 times better if EVERY hero rocked facial hair

Infinity War features about two dozen leads, including most of the Avengers, all of the Guardians, and a bunch of not-quite-Avengers like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange.
But there’s one clear breakout star among the bunch, and I think it’s pretty clea…

“Future captains!” Larson replied excitedly to the tweet.
