There ain’t no shade like ex-U.S. president shade, because ex-U.S. president shade comes from someone who was literally a leader of the free world.

Today’s shade-thrower is George H.W. Bush. The first President Bush pulls no punches in his frank take on Donald Trump. The detail, in the form of a direct quote, comes from author John Updegrove’s upcoming book, The Last Republicans, which explores the father-son relationship between the father-son ex-Presidents Bush.

“I don’t like him,” the senior Bush said in Updegrove’s book, out Nov. 14. “I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s a blowhard. And I’m not too excited about him being a leader.” Read more…

Well, one server at Outback Steakhouse in Centerville, Ohio had the tip of a lifetime when model and TV star Chrissy Teigen left a very generous bonus after dining at the restaurant. 

According to local media outlet Dayton.com, Teigen, her daughter Luna, and a few friends ate at the restaurant on Friday, and was seated in 21-year-old Mikayla Scott’s section.  

“She walked in with all her glam,” Scott told Dayton.com. “I was so nervous I was going to do something wrong.”  Read more…

To sweeten the deal, Bey has signed the hat and blessed it with a kind message (“All my love”)Per Pitchfork, the lucky auction winner will also receive a photograph of Beyoncé wearing the hat.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit The Lung Transplant Project, an initiative that aims to decrease lung transplant waiting times. Bey isn’t the only celeb who donated items for the cause — Pharrell donated two pairs of signed Adidas Originals, too. Read more…

The Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago was a gathering of brilliant minds, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t fun had, too. 

The inaugural event went off without a hitch, and during a joint appearance at the Chicago’s National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture on Tuesday, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Common both took the time to drop a little rhyme on the audience.

The two take turns with few lines each, and of course there were a few Hamilton references thrown in for good measure.
