You’d be hard pressed to find someone who confuses Donald Glover with Donald Trump.

The two, though both wildly famous, thankfully don’t have much in common besides their first name — until now. Now, they share a subreddit. Kind of.

Over the weekend, Reddit’s r/thedonald suffered quite the identity crisis when a rogue band of internet trolls decided that the community needed a makeover. What began as sub built to share news and thoughts about Trump was uncovered by fans of Glover, who took it upon themselves to spam the page with all things related to the actor, comedian, and musician.

Though r/thedonald should not to be mistaken for the much larger, far more notorious Reddit community r/the_donald, it does currently have 16,000 subscribers. And they are all probably pretty annoyed. Read more…

Solo: A Star Wars Story is about to hit theaters, and its stars — Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian) and Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo) — have been making the rounds promoting the film.

The two stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an episode that aired May 21 to share a bit about the audition process, meeting with their character’s predecessors, and how full-circle this moment really is for them.

In addition to sharing how many times each had to audition (7 for Glover, 6 for Ehrenreich), Glover opened up about how his first toy as a child was the Calrissian action figure — and how now his son plays with the action figure of Glover and understands that it’s his dad. Read more…

Looks like Childish Gambino has another earworm on his hands.

Earlier this month, the rapper, also formally known as Donald Glover, released his new single “This Is America.” Since its video was uploaded to YouTube, it’s racked up over 111,000,000 views — an incredibly impressive feat considering it’s only been up for nine days. With numbers like that, it’s no surprise that the track has landed Glover his very first Billboard chart-topping position.

According to Billboard, the song took the number one spot on Billboard Hot 100 in both streams and sales with 65.3 million streams and 78,000 downloads in the week ending on May 10, based on numbers from Nielsen Music. Read more…

As we all know, Donald Glover as Lando is already the best thing about Solo: A Star Wars Story. And the most recent clip released for the movie only further solidifies this truth.

It shows the first moment that Han (whose name we shall heretofore purposefully mispronounce in support of Lando) meets the most charming smuggler in all the galaxy. There’s even a quick shot of Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra.

We happen upon Lando just as he’s claiming some gambling rewards. “There’s no liars in this game, only players,” he says, to the aliens he clearly just lied to and played like a fiddle.
