Celebrities react to the most hilariously thirsty fan tweets about them

TwitterFacebook

You know Mean Tweets? Well, this is sort of the opposite.

In the compilation above from The Graham Norton Show, the likes of Chris Pine and Matt Damon are confronted with a range of inventively thirsty tweets about them — from Pine’s full-frontal nude scene in Outlaw King to Matt Damon’s temporary ponytail (to which there were many, many creative responses).

It’s not all thirsty stuff, either — there are some reactions to meeting Taylor Swift, for instance, that are simply excitable in the extreme, as well as a selection of the most brutal James Blunt comebacks.

But mostly it’s the thirsty stuff. Read more…

Michael B. Jordan cringes while watching footage of himself taking a real punch from a boxer

TwitterFacebook

Acting usually means pretending — but not always. Sometimes it gets a whole lot more real than that.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Michael B. Jordan spoke about the time he took an actual punch from boxer Tony Bellew while filming Creed.

“In the Rocky films, it’s like a badge of honour to take a real punch,” explains Jordan. “And when you do slow-mo shots, you can’t fake it.”

Looking at the clip, it’s pretty clear nothing was faked. And Jordan definitely deserves that badge. Read more…

Chris Pratt’s son is wildly unimpressed by his dad’s job

TwitterFacebook

There are probably many, many people out there who think Chris Pratt has the coolest job in the world. His five-year-old son just isn’t one of them.

“He really couldn’t care less,” says Pratt in the clip above, which was taken from the latest episode of The Graham Norton Show.

“He went to Universal the other day — Universal Studios in LA,” continues Pratt. “Theme Park, had a good time, and he came back and he said, ‘Hey dad, guess what? I saw the real Owen.'”

Turns out he’d seen someone dressed up as Pratt’s Jurassic World character and simply assumed his dad was a fake. Read more…

Allison Janney casually demonstrates Meryl Streep’s kissing technique on Graham Norton

TwitterFacebook

When movie stars lock lips onscreen it may look natural, but there’s actually a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes.

Mints. The no tongue rule. Strange anti-bacterial lip gloss stuff. The whole thing is a minefield.

Some actresses, like Meryl Streep, even have special techniques for making the kiss as photogenic as possible.

In the clip above, Allison Janney — who had to kiss Streep in The Hours — demonstrates the method flawlessly. And she uses a mildly stunned Graham Norton as her subject. Read more…

Ed Sheeran actually has a tattoo of Saoirse Ronan’s handwriting on his body

TwitterFacebook

Fair play to Ed Sheeran — if he gets an idea about something, he fully commits to it.

Saoirse Ronan, who stars in Sheeran’s music video for the song “Galway Girl”, appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday to talk about the filming process. She explained that the tattoo Sheeran has in the video — “Galway Grill” — was actually real. And she was the one that wrote it.

“That’s my handwriting,” she says in the clip above. “I was very, very nervous about it so I practiced for about half an hour before they actually tattooed it onto him.” Read more…

Tom Cruise reacts to footage of his own ankle breaking in slow motion

TwitterFacebook

Fair warning — if the thought of watching someone’s ankle break in slow motion makes you feel a tad uncomfortable, you may want to look away now.

In the clip above from The Graham Norton Show, Tom Cruise gets replayed the footage of his ankle being broken during filming for Mission Impossible 6. There are several angles, and one features a slow-motion closeup of the ankle itself. Needless to say, it’s pretty wince-inducing.

What makes the whole thing seriously impressive, though, is the final angle — a front shot showing an injured Cruise grimly clambering onto the building to finish the stunt, despite the fact he’s just mangled one of his bones against a concrete wall. Read more…

Liam Neeson and Helen Mirren discuss their 1981 sex scene that never made the film

TwitterFacebook

It turns out when you have two famous actors who used to be an item on a talk show together, you get some pretty great stories.

Liam Neeson and Helen Mirren — who actually used to live together — both appeared on the latest edition of The Graham Norton Show. Neeson spoke about the first time he saw her, which happened to be on the set of the 1981 movie Excalibur — and then they moved on to chat about a sex scene they filmed on that same movie that never made the final cut (skip to 2:30 in the video above).
