Celebrities react to the most hilariously thirsty fan tweets about them

TwitterFacebook

You know Mean Tweets? Well, this is sort of the opposite.

In the compilation above from The Graham Norton Show, the likes of Chris Pine and Matt Damon are confronted with a range of inventively thirsty tweets about them — from Pine’s full-frontal nude scene in Outlaw King to Matt Damon’s temporary ponytail (to which there were many, many creative responses).

It’s not all thirsty stuff, either — there are some reactions to meeting Taylor Swift, for instance, that are simply excitable in the extreme, as well as a selection of the most brutal James Blunt comebacks.

But mostly it’s the thirsty stuff. Read more…

A growing list of the Hollywood stars who’ve committed to inclusion riders

TwitterFacebook

The most buzzed-about moment at this year’s Oscars wasn’t a Jimmy Kimmel bit or a presenter flub. It was Frances McDormand’s acceptance speech.

With two words – “inclusion rider” – McDormand called on her colleagues to take action against the industry’s lack of diversity. The question was no longer what Hollywood’s top talents could do, but what they would do.

The inclusion rider is contract language that a filmmaker or star can use in negotiations to demand that a project meet a certain standard of diversity. In the days since McDormand’s speech, a growing number of top-tier talents have publicly pledged to adopt inclusion riders going forward. Read more…

Matt Damon finally gets it right: ‘I should get in the back seat and close my mouth for a while’

TwitterFacebook

It’s a rough time in Hollywood these days, but Matt Damon has had a particularly rough go of it with repeated attempts to speak about sexual assault and harassment that have been slammed even by other celebrities. Damon went on TODAY to talk about the nonprofit Water.org and offered a few words about the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements in Hollywood – and this time, he may get it.

“I really wish I’d listened a lot more before I weighed in on this,” Damon said, adding that he didn’t think he had been a good listener. “I don’t want to further anybody’s pain with anything that I do or say. So for that I am really sorry.” Read more…

Alyssa Milano slams Matt Damon for his misguided comments on sexual misconduct

TwitterFacebook

Alyssa Milano is holding Matt Damon accountable.

On Friday, the actress and activist tweeted a scathing open letter to Damon after his series of misguided-at-best comments on sexual misconduct in Hollywood.

During an interview with Peter Travers, Damon appeared to worry a little too much about the “culture of outrage” around men who abuse their power — not on the damaged lives of their victims.

At one point, for example, he opined on Louis C.K.: “I imagine the price that he’s paid at this point is so beyond anything that he — I just think that we have to kind of start delineating between what these behaviors are,” he said. Read more…

Who are the new Thor and Loki in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’?

TwitterFacebook

Thor: Ragnarok spoilers follow. You’ve been warned!

Thor: Ragnarok doesn’t just bring back Thor, Loki, and Odin – it also brings in brand-new versions of them, in the form of actors playing the trio in a stage show.

And you’ll probably notice that they look familiar, even if you’re not exactly a connoisseur of Asgardian theater.

The new Thor, Loki, and Odin show up early in the movie, when Odin (or rather, Loki pretending to be Odin) enjoys a play that recaps certain events from Thor: The Dark World from Loki’s warped perspective. Read more…
