Lin-Manuel Miranda, James Corden, and other big names show their support during the National School Walkout

On Wednesday, thousands of students across the country participated in the National School Walkout today in honor of the 17 victims of the Parkland shooting just one month ago. 

These kids, of all ages, have devoted 17 minutes of silence to commemorating the lives lost, and while they have been joined by family and community members across the country, celebrities have also been cheering them on as they fight for change.

If you see orange pins at the Oscars, this is what they represent

In the wake of a horrific string of school shootings in Parkland, Florida and across the country, it looks as if Hollywood will be joining in on the gun control conversation in one of the best ways they know: pins. 

According to a source who spoke with People, some attendees of the 90th Academy Awards will be sporting an orange-hued American flag pin from Everytown, an organization dedicated to gun safety across the nation.

Who exactly will be wearing the pin is unknown, and it’s unclear if this movement will resonate on the red carpet in the same way Time’s Up did at the Golden Globes. Whether or not it does, the teens of Parkland, Florida have the backing of some famous faces off the red carpet—and millions of citizens—as they gear up to flood Washington D.C. during March for Our Lives on March 24.
