Hugh Jackman’s commercial for Ryan Reynolds’ gin company is hilariously brutal

It was only ever going to end one way, wasn’t it?

As soon as Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman announced their “truce” on social media — and said they were planning to make commercials for each other’s companies — it seemed pretty clear things were going to go wrong.

Well, guess what? Wrong is exactly what they went. In the video above, Reynolds keeps his side of the bargain with a heartfelt commercial for Jackman’s Laughing Man coffee. “It cost a million dollars,” he whispers, after the showing has finished.

If you’ve seen their birthday messages to each other, or that glorious photo of them at the “Christmas sweater” party together, you’ll know that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s relationship is largely based on their shared desire to totally destroy one another.

Well, not anymore. Apparently the feud has come to an end.

On Thursday evening, Reynolds posted the following, cheery tweet:

Hugh Jackman pays an emotional tribute to Stan Lee

On Monday night, the news broke that Stan Lee, a Marvel Comics legend, had passed away at the age of 95.

Later on that evening, Wolverine star Hugh Jackman appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and paid a tribute to the man who helped create X-Men.

“Let me just say to the family and to the legions of fans, that I remember Stan as a true gentleman who had this glint in his eye,” says Jackman. “He’s a creative genius, he thought outside the box — he created a whole universe that changed the lives of many people, mine included.”

Jackman goes on to remember an anecdote from Comic Con, where he was on the red carpet as Wolverine — and nobody was taking his photo, because Stan Lee was at the other end. Read more…

Ryan Reynolds is back to doing what he does best: trolling Hugh Jackman. 

This time, Reynolds is playing the role of the naysaying—the dude that mutters “it’ll never last” about a pal’s relationship.

Ryan Reynolds joked that he’d given the relationship Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-lee Furness three months, tops. 

In reality, of course, the couple are very much together 22 years later, and very much in love, as illustrated by Jackman’s very sweet anniversary message to Furness.
