Kanye West has heard your tiny-slipper critiques and raises you these giant versions

Kanye West’s playing the long game — or the large game.

Earlier this month, Kanye really leaned into the middle-aged dad aesthetic for 2 Chainz’s wedding. On August 18, he arrived at the venue dressed in a suit with no shirt and, like your unperturbed father running an errand on a Sunday morning, wore socks with sandals

Kanye got the “helping my mom wit groceries” slides on 😂

The sock-and-sandal scandal didn’t stop there — as Twitter users pointed out, the slides seemed way too small for Kanye’s paternal faux pas feet. Did he grab North West’s slippers by mistake? Read more…

Kanye West says he ‘wasn’t given a chance’ to answer Jimmy Kimmel’s Trump question

TwitterFacebook

Kanye West appeared to be rendered speechless when Jimmy Kimmel asked him whether Donald Trump cared about black people. But he’d like to clarify that, no, he was just giving it some thought!

West’s Thursday interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live concluded somewhat strangely after Kimmel posed the question: West did not answer, then Kimmel abruptly announced a commercial break. (Trump was into it, though. Always a great sign.)

So on Saturday night, West attempted to clear the air with a few tweets.

After a painful Jimmy Kimmel interview, Kanye West drops a new track

TwitterFacebook

Kanye West never leaves our news cycle — whether he’s there to stir up boring, gratuitous social media controversy or simply share music.

Thankfully, this weekend gave us the latterDJ Clark Kent shared Kanye’s latest track, “XCTY,” on Twitter sometime Friday night.

It’s his first track released since he dropped five Kanye-produced albums in five weeks.

Credit where it’s technically due: “XCTY” is a decent track. And frankly, it’s a welcome relief from the controversy stirred up from West’s interview with Jimmy Kimmel earlier this week. West was initially silent after Kimmel confronted him about his past attitude towards Bush (West famously said “George Bush doesn’t like black people”) and his current view of Trump. Read more…

Kim Kardashian says she has ‘nothing bad to say’ about Trump

TwitterFacebook

Last month, 62-year-old Alice Marie Johnson had her life sentence for a non-violent, first time drug offense commuted by Trump.

It’s all largely due to the efforts of Kim Kardashian West, who appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday to talk about the encounter.

She largely talked about her meeting with the president and the subsequent release of Johnson — also revealing that she was in the middle of a nude photoshoot when she received the news from Trump.

“Did the president know you were just in a robe and nothing else?” Kimmel asked. “Because he probably would’ve released the whole prison if you told him.” Read more…

Kanye West updated his album with a lyric referencing slavery comments

TwitterFacebook

In 2016, Kanye West kept fans at the edge of their seats when he continuously updated The Life of Pablo well after the album’s official release date.

Turns out he’s using the same tactic with his latest project, Ye.

It’s been less than a week since the album dropped, and new lyrics have been added to the clean version of the opening track, “I Thought About Killing You.”

“Buckwheat ass n****, it’s ‘gon be otay / Sorry, but I chose not to be no slave,” West raps in the updated lyrics. The added line — about choosing not to be a slave — is a reference to West’s controversial comments during his visit to the TMZ offices in May.  Read more…
