It seems Scott Pruitt suffered one scandal too many as Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday afternoon that he’s accepted Pruitt’s resignation effective Monday.

I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this. The Senate confirmed Deputy at EPA, Andrew Wheeler, will…

Even Fox News has turned on Scott Pruitt — but still he hangs on

TwitterFacebook

The long, tangled tale of Scott Pruitt — a pile of grift and corruption come to life — as head of the Environmental Protection Agency may finally soon be coming to an end. It won’t be because of a new scandal, but, rather, the fickle feelings of the folks on Fox News.

On Wednesday afternoon, as the nation tried to make sense of the EPA chief enlisting an aide with finding him a used mattress and helping him purchase a Chick-fil-A restaurant for his wife, a Fox News Twitter account blasted out this shot at Pruitt’s ongoing scandals. Read more…

Salty EPA spokesman slams journalist as “a piece of trash” for doing her job

TwitterFacebook

Okay, everybody, this latest Scott Pruitt scandal has gotten a little out of hand.

When The Atlantic‘s Elaina Plott reached out for comment from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) — you know, the government organization Pruitt is running like his own personal bingo hall — EPA spokesperson Jahan Wilcox told Plott, “You have a great day, you’re a piece of trash.”

Whoooooaaaaaaa there, Jahan.

A bit much, don’t you think?

Apparently, Wilcox has had a rough day answering questions about the impending departure of EPA aide Millan Hupp.  Read more…

Famously thrifty Scott Pruitt tried to buy a used mattress from a Trump Hotel

Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt, a man who spent $43,000 in government funds on a soundproof phone booth, apparently also wanted to buy an old mattress from Washington, D.C.’s Trump International Hotel.

According to an AP report, Pruitt asked senior aide Millan Hupp to hunt for the mattress — a Stearns & Foster mattress produced exclusively for Trump Hotels in 2008, per BuzzFeed — around the time he was planning to move.

“The administrator had spoken with someone at the Trump Hotel, who had indicated there could be a mattress he could purchase, an old mattress he could purchase,” said Hupp. Read more…

Scott Pruitt dislikes the EPA logo because he thinks it looks like a marijuana leaf

TwitterFacebook

Maybe you can see it better than we can.

According to the New York Times, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt isn’t happy with the organization’s seal, which has been in place for nearly 50 years.

The reason: He thinks it looks like a marijuana leaf.

It features a flower bloom representing all the elements of the environment, coupled with four leaves. It was produced for no charge by an ad agency in 1971 and was illustrated by Ken Bloomhorst, who died in January.

It’s wild that Scott Pruitt thinks the @EPA seal looks like a “marijuana leaf,” because it’s clearly the fire flower from Super Mario Broshttps://t.co/gmi0IhdTnz pic.twitter.com/ceEr3tGv3n
