Over one hundred million people watch the Super Bowl every year, whether diehard football fans crowding around the TV or those two dudes who seem to show up at your party every year just to eat all of the bean dip. The big game is the most popular TV event in America, but this year its ratings tanked dramatically — except online. Twitter is a place where people like to argue and shout at each other a lot — but it’s also a place where two total strangers can arrange to recreate famous historical photographs.

Earlier this week, writer Shamus Clancy tweeted a famous black-and-white photograph from the end of WWII.

That picture (which it’s worth noting has a controversial backstory) was taken by Alfred Eisentaedton VJ Day in 1945.
