As the Westworld Season 2 premiere charges down the railroad tracks, the show’s new mobile game has landed on Android and iOS — in some countries, at least, including Australia.

The game is a little Fallout Shelter, a little Westworld. You’re the new hire for Delos Destinations, put through a training simulation of Westworld park. “You will be responsible for keeping the park running smoothly by managing the Hosts, our artificially intelligent ‘park residents,’” says character Theresa Cullen, Head of Quality Assurance at Westworld.  Read more…

‘Westworld’ Season 2 makes Season 1 look like a ‘genteel kitchen drama’

TwitterFacebook

The first season of Westworld was a wild ride full of twists, thrills, and existential mysteries, but it looks like that’s nothing compared to what Season 2 will be when it airs on April 22.

Entertainment Weekly spoke with the cast of Westworld and some of the people behind the scenes about what we can expect in the reality-bending Westworld and beyond. According to Jeffrey Wright, the actor behind Bernard Lowe, Season 2 goes in hard in really big ways.

“The scale of Season 2 is just nuts, literally right out of the gate,” Wright told EW. “It’s so much more expansive, it makes the first season look like a genteel kitchen drama.”  Read more…

In an EW interview, creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy confirmed that many of the characters presumed dead, or at least MIA, at the end of Season 1 will in fact be returning for Season 2.

Except for one. Before we get to the good stuff, here’s the bad news: Ford’s dead. For serious.

After the robo massacre of the Season 1 finale, fans speculated whether Dolores had killed the real Ford, or just a host version of him. It’s now confirmed that Hopkins will not return for Season 2, though the character of Ford will return through a different actor in flashbacks. Read more…

All the details you missed in the ‘Westworld’ Season 2 Super Bowl trailer

Amidst the glitz, the glam, the sporting, the ads, the Solos, and the Timberlake, one spectacle stood out more than any other at the Super Bowl: Westworld’s Season 2 trailer.

Playing out to a classical rendition of Kanye West’s ‘Runaway,’ the 2-minute trailer presented a dearth of motifs and hidden messages that can help us predict what’s to become of a Westworld ruled by the Hosts.

So here are the most important reveals and secrets from the Westworld Season 2 trailer.

1. An encrypted message leads to Delos corporate website

Crafty redditor Askin1 deciphered a binary code briefly displayed in the trailer to find www.delosdestinations.com. This isn’t the first Delos website to come out of Westworld — and that older one seems to have new mysteries to uncover (try pressing shift or talking to Aeden, for example). Read more…
