Dude crashes Olympic skating rink wearing only a tutu and monkey sock

TwitterFacebook

The men’s 1,000m speed skating event at the Winter Olympics may have been the most risqué event in Pyeongchang yet, thanks to a nearly-naked man in a tutu with a monkey pouch covering his privates.

Nope, this is not a joke.

With the words “PEACE + LOVE” written on his bare chest, a semi-nude streaker (quite possibly the infamous Mark Roberts) barreled down the seats of the venue and onto the ice right after the men finished competing on the ice. Thanks to this blurry footage caught by @mhj.kooij on Instagram, you can watch him land on the rink, strip down to a tutu and then fall flat on his face.  Read more…

Where’s the Olympic French ice skater’s medal for her mid-performance costume change?

TwitterFacebook

Olympic ice skating doesn’t have to be about the triple flips and double axels.

French ice skater Maé-Bérénice Méité somehow worked in a small costume change during her performance Thursday in the ladies’ single free skate program.

She surprised the judges with a new bedazzled skirt and skaters should take note.

Canadian hockey player apologizes for removing silver medal during ceremony

TwitterFacebook

Thursday’s women’s ice hockey gold medal game was an emotional one for players on both teams, especially for Canadian Jocelyne Larocque who was clearly displeased with her team’s loss against rival USA.

The player took a bit of heat for removing her silver medal during the post-game ceremony and holding it in her hand for the duration of the event. The Globe and Mail reports that an International Ice Hockey Federation official later “forced” Larocque to wear the medal.

Olympian Gus Kenworthy took selfies with an albino raccoon in South Korea

TwitterFacebook

Cat cafes are so 2017 — Gus Kenworthy miles ahead of us with his visit to a raccoon cafe.

Kenworthy competed in slopestyle skiing for Team USA in Pyeongchang for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Although his events are over, the Olympian stopped in South Korea’s capital to visit Seoul’s Blind Alley, a cafe where customers can hang out with raccoons, corgis, and a capybara.

He posted photos from his visit — complete with a cuddly albino raccoon — with the caption “they really do love trash!”

Olympic announcers feel more about U.S.’ cross-country win than you will about anything

TwitterFacebook

You might think the Winter Olympics are exciting, but you’ve got nothing on these announcers.

At the end of the cross-country skiing event yesterday, the U.S. won their first ever gold medal in the event, and the announcers screamed accordingly.

Just, like, really let loose.

This is what history looks and sounds like@jessdiggs and @kikkanimal win @TeamUSA‘s first ever gold medal in cross-country skiing.

You’ll want your sound up for this..pic.twitter.com/86PQ4KQaH3

I never thought sports announcers could make me tear up, but here we are?

🇺🇸The commentators pure emotion gave me all the feels. I love the Olympics. These athletes are unreal 🇺🇸

It’s bobsled time!

The Jamaican women’s bobsled team made their Olympic debut on Tuesday, becoming the first women’s team from Jamaica to take part in the competition.

Teammates Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian and Carrie Russell had a tough time making it to the games after losing their coach, sponsors, and sled shortly before the competition. However, with some help from the Jamaican beer company Red Stripe, the team was able to secure a sled and make it to the Olympics.

Olympic North Korean speed skater appears to try and trip his Japanese rival mid-race

TwitterFacebook

In rude Olympic news, a North Korean speed skater received a penalty during his race for appearing to attempt to throw off one of his fellow skaters.

Speed skater Jong Kwang-Bom fell – twice! – during the men’s 500 meters heat on Tuesday in Pyeongchang. Jong’s first fall came within seconds of starting, prompting the judges to pause the race and restart. On the second round, the skater fell again.
