Dylan Farrow slams Soon-Yi Previn interview: ‘No one is ‘parading me around as a victim”

TwitterFacebook

Soon-Yi Previn, the adoptive daughter of Mia Farrow and wife of Woody Allen, has spoken about her upbringing and relationship with Allen.

And her sister, Dylan Farrow, has slammed every word, accusing her of “bizarre fabrications.”

In a New York Magazine profile published on Sunday night, Soon-Yi discussed what she described as a fractured relationship with her adopted mother, and stood up for Allen in the midst of refreshed sexual abuse allegations by her sister, Dylan.

“I was never interested in writing a Mommie Dearest, getting even with Mia — none of that,” Soon-Yi told the publication.  Read more…

Amazon is on the hook for three more Woody Allen movies

TwitterFacebook

Woody Allen’s actors may be starting to abandon him, but Woody Allen’s distributor won’t get off so easily.

Not only is Amazon Studios already on the hook to release Allen’s A Rainy Day in New York, it’s just the second in a five-picture deal struck in 2016 by Roy Price, the studio head who was pushed out after his own wave of sexual harassment allegations.

In other words, Amazon is now in the unenviable spot of either sticking with Allen, at a time when critics and stars are publicly distancing themselves from him – or paying him a whole bunch of money to sever that contract.  Read more…

Kate Winslet expresses ‘bitter regrets’ for working with accused sexual predators

TwitterFacebook

Kate Winslet has recently come under fire for repeatedly failing to condemn — and even going as far as to defend — accused sexual predators in Hollywood she’s worked with in the past.

But, while accepting an award for excellence in film at the London Critics’ Circle on Jan. 28, Winslet finally addressed the Woody Allen-shaped elephant in the room.

Though perhaps not in the way many hoped she would.

“As women around the world and from all walks of life marched last weekend, once again joining together to speak out against harassment, exploitation and abuse, I realised that I wouldn’t be able to stand here this evening and keep to myself some bitter regrets that I have about poor decisions to work with individuals with whom I wish I had not,” she said, according to a BBC transcript. Diane Keaton finally spoke up about Woody Allen, and you won’t like what she has to say

Diane Keaton is standing by Woody Allen.

The Annie Hall actress defended the director on Twitter, writing, “Woody Allen is my friend and I continue to believe him.”

The tweet included a video clip of Allen’s 60 Minutes interview from 1992. In it, he dismisses his alleged molestation of Dylan Farrow, his adopted daughter with Mia Farrow, as “a total non-event,” and blames Mia for “coaching” Dylan to speak ill of him.

Woody Allen’s actors are turning against him, and it’s about time

TwitterFacebook

The chorus of voices against Woody Allen is growing louder by the day.

Over the past few months, several actors who’ve starred in Allen’s films have come forward to express their regrets – and, in some cases, announce that they’re donating their salaries to charity. That list includes multiple stars of Allen’s next movie, A Rainy Day in New York.

Even in the throes of Hollywood’s reckoning, Woody Allen has not faced the same swift and total condemnation that men like Harvey Weinstein have.

His latest film, Wonder Wheel, hit theaters in December, and he’s already wrapped his next movie, A Rainy Day in New York, for release in 2018. On the Wonder Wheel press tour, star Kate Winslet praised the director’s “extraordinary” female roles, garnering side-eyes from some of her colleagues. Read more…
