32-year-old YouTuber shares his terminal cancer diagnosis in really moving video

British YouTuber PeeWeeToms has shared his terminal cancer diagnosis in a powerful vlog. 

The 32-year-old vlogger — whose real name is Dan — was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2015 — “a type of sarcoma and carcinoma called a sarcomatoid carcinoma.”

He’s been charting his cancer journey on his YouTube channel.

“This video’s not gonna be easy,” he says in the video, before reading aloud his scan results he’d been given by doctors. “They can’t do surgery, they can’t even amputate my arm, or part of my chest, you might notice my voice is going weird as well.”

PeeWeeToms explained that doctors told him he has “extra metastasis” in his left lung, mass growth on his chest wall, “mass metastasis” in his liver, and bone cancer. “Life expectancy now is not very long. At all,” he said. “It’s just devastating.” Read more…

YouTuber addresses cultural stereotypes about interracial relationships

Making videos on the internet comes hand in hand with receiving mean and abusive comments. And, sometimes these comments can be extremely personal. 

But, YouTuber Natalie Tran was not prepared for the reactions and comments she receives about being an Asian woman in an interracial relationship. So, she decided to address the stereotypes surrounding her relationship—many of which are rooted in historic and cultural representations of Asian people.  

“These comments are actually pretty common. A lot of other Asian women who date caucasian men and have some kind of presence online receive these kinds of comments as well,” says Tran.  Read more…

Brits are raging over the price of Zoella’s advent calendar. And, the mass fury doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. People are more pissed off than ever before after the YouTuber released a new vlog in which she attempted to address the criticism of her pricey advent calendar. 

Zoella—who has 12 million YouTube subscribers and 11.2 million Instagram followers—released a £50 advent calendar in the run-up to Christmas, which is being sold exclusively at Boots.
