WWE dramedy ‘Fighting With My Family’ is a rowdy charmer
Maybe it is true that all happy families are alike, deep down. But the Knights — the wrestling clan at the center of Fighting With My Family – are at least idiosyncratic and endearing enough to make themselves worth watching, even if their tale feels like one we’ve seen many times before.
Based on a 2012 documentary, Fighting With My Family traces the rise of wrestling superstar Paige, from her beginnings on the British indie circuit with her brother and parents (all of whom are also pro wrestlers) to her WWE debut.
At its core, Fighting With My Family is a quirky-family dramedy combined with an underdog-sports-star biopic. The plot moves along a predictable path; you can probably guess from the first minutes exactly where this film is headed even if you’ve never heard of Paige. But it’s the cinematic equivalent of comfort food, something familiar and unfussy that’ll nevertheless leave you satisfied. Read more…

The star of upcoming Fast and the Furious spinoff Hobbs and Shaw posted a first look at the new film, appearing with his co-star Jason Statham.
The movie, set for release in August 2019, will star Johnson and Statham as their popular characters — law enforcement dynamo and former agent of the Diplomatic Security Service Luke Hobbs and assassin Deckard Shaw — alongside Idris Elba as the film’s villain. Read more…

Dwayne Johnson may get 90% of his kicks from smashing bad guys in action movies, but he gets the other 10% from the aquarium.
The photos he uploaded to Instagram on Sunday — following a visit to Georgia Aquarium with his family — provide sweet proof of this.
“The second largest aquarium in the world and the only institution outside of Asia that houses Whale Sharks,” Johnson wrote gleefully on Instagram. “More than 100,000 animals and sea creatures here that I’m in constant awe of. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson just schooled us all on how to do Mother’s Day.
Yesterday, Johnson posted a long, heartfelt message to his girlfriend Lauren Hashian that set the bar really high.
He posted an image of his “main squeeze” and his “little main squeezes,” which included newborn Tiana Gia and 2-year-old Jasmine Lia and dedicated the Instagram post to Hashian. He expressed how much he loves and appreciates everything she does for the family in a beautiful, and uniquely-phrased message of love.
Happy Mother’s Day to my main squeeze @laurenhashianofficial, holding my little main squeeze, Jasmine Lia, who’s holding my tiniest main squeeze, Tiana Gia – both our daughter’s middle names are in honor of their great grandmothers, Lia and Giavanna. Here’s a fun small recap: Having a two and half year old and a newborn attached and clinging to her 24/7. Managing the wonderfully fun, Terrible 2’s with Jazzy. The “Hi, I need to eat every 3hrs and preferably from your boob” (just like daddy;) with Baby Tia. Managing multiple family properties. Managing an ever growing staff of family employees across the country. Picking up the ENTIRE FAMILY, STAFF AND DOG and moving to multiple locations AROUND THE WORLD, throughout the year because of my filming and production schedule. All while continuing to build an amazing career as a music and song writer/producer. As an artist and businessman myself, I recognize how incredibly hard this part is of her job is. She’s a brilliant visionary storyteller and lyrically gifted – all qualities that are hard to tap into when you’re managing this nonstop life of ours. But she does it like a brilliant bad ass. And here’s the best part and the thing I’m most proud of… Lauren does it all with a big genuine smile and is truly, the kindest and sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. People tell me all time after they spend time with her, “Lauren’s the nicest person I have ever met”. I always say, “Yes she is and being nice runs in our family… and so does kicking ass, so don’t ever get on her bad side” Lol. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart’s friendship just reached an new, unexpected level.
Last week, Johnson welcomed a new baby girl to the family and he shared a photo of his daughter on Instagram to his millions of fans, as one does when you’re a bonafide film star and proud father.
But then on Sunday, he took that very photo and pushed it to new boundaries — boundaries that we didn’t know it couldn’t even go.
Basically, he shared a Photoshopped image of Hart taking the place of his new baby, crying face and all.

An American equivalent to a royal baby was born today.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his partner Lauren Hashian welcomed a baby girl into the world on Monday, and made the announcement via a very on brand (aka shirtless), long-winded Instagram post with a photo of Johnson holding his daughter.
The newest family member, Tiana Gia Johnson, is The Rock’s third daughter, and second with Hashian.
Skin to skin. Our mana. Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world. Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama @laurenhashianofficial labored and delivered like a true rockstar. I was raised and surrounded by strong, loving women all my life, but after participating in baby Tia’s delivery, it’s hard to express the new level of love, respect and admiration I have for @laurenhashianofficial and all mamas and women out there. Word to the wise gentlemen, it’s critical to be by your lady’s head when she’s delivering, being as supportive as you can.. holding hands, holding legs, whatever you can do. But, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer – watch your child being born. Its a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless. And to my third and youngest daughter, Tiana Gia – like I did when your two older sisters Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia were born, you have my word, I’ll love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life.
