Warning: Spoilers for Captain Marvel and possibly Avengers: Endgame lie ahead.

In the words of Mashable’s own Angie Han, “Well, Thanos is fucked.”

While it’s clear the demise of Angry Grimace and his population control bullshit is imminent, exactly when, where, and how Captain Marvel and the rest of the Avengers will take him down remains a mystery.

Luckily, fans have been using evidence from the original comics, Captain Marvel‘s post-credits scenes, past MCU installments, and cast and crew interviews — with just a sprinkling of common sense regarding what Marvel Studios will and won’t do — to piece together what they can before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26.  Read more…

Warning: Light spoilers for Bird Box lie ahead.

Welcome to Bird Box analysis, where the metaphors are made up and the points don’t matter!

Look. I like a return-to-English-class breakdown of a horror movie as much as the next gal—but this is getting ridiculous. Major spoilers for American Horror Story: Apocalypse lie ahead.

With just two episodes left in the season, American Horror Story: Apocalypse is rapidly approaching its own doomsday—and its characters have a lot of ground to cover before delivering a worthy finale.

Ever since the coven’s victorious Episode 3 return, fans have been eagerly awaiting a witches vs. Satan, Cordelia vs. Michael showdown. The outcome of this fight to the finish will have implications of biblical proportion for the entire AHS multiverse.

Naturally, fans are taking sides.

The promising cooperation of Voodoo Queen Dinah Stevens in Episode 7 seemed to tilt the scales in the coven’s favor. (And that’s a good thing for, you know, humanity.) Read more…

Disney theories ranked by just how little they make sense

TwitterFacebook

Look, I’m a huge Disney fan and consider myself more enthusiastic about Disney than the average person. That being said, there’s something in the Disney fan community that I have mixed feelings about: fan theories.

The most popular of these has to be the “Anna and Elsa are actually related to Tarzan theory,” first jokingly started by Frozen director, Chris Buck, in a Reddit AMA thread three years ago. Never mind that it was essentially a joke, or that the King and Queen of Arendelle look nothing like Tarzan’s parents—people eagerly lapped it up and still claim that it’s true.

Fan theories can be fun, but some of them blatantly ignore the material they’re based on and just…don’t make sense.  Read more…
