TwitterFacebook

Warning: Spoilers for Captain Marvel and possibly Avengers: Endgame lie ahead.

In the words of Mashable’s own Angie Han, “Well, Thanos is fucked.”

While it’s clear the demise of Angry Grimace and his population control bullshit is imminent, exactly when, where, and how Captain Marvel and the rest of the Avengers will take him down remains a mystery.

Luckily, fans have been using evidence from the original comics, Captain Marvel‘s post-credits scenes, past MCU installments, and cast and crew interviews — with just a sprinkling of common sense regarding what Marvel Studios will and won’t do — to piece together what they can before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26.  Read more…

Channelling the 50/50 chance style of Thanos wielding the Infinity Gauntlet — something Josh Brolin got in on — the sub moderators banned over half of their 630,000 subscribers on Monday night — well, they’d risen to 700,000 before the ban started after a few last calls. We need to talk about Thanos’ insane population control scheme in ‘Infinity War’

TwitterFacebook

Spoiler Alert: This article discusses the shocking ending of Infinity War, which you really should have seen by now.

It’s been quite a week for galaxy brain solutions to our greatest problems — big, bold ideas, unfettered by anything as old-fashioned as science, history or logic.

We’re not just talking about Kanye West’s bizarre fact-free “freethinking” rants, in which he suggested that centuries of American slavery were the fault of the enslaved for making a “choice” to not be free. There’s an even bigger galaxy brain in pop culture right now: Thanos, Infinity Stone-wielding villain of the box office record-breaking Avengers: Infinity War. Read more…

This is Thanos.

Hello, Thanos.

Hello, Thanos.

You might know him as the latest Marvel baddie with a scheming master plan to eliminate half the world’s population because #reasons. He’s latest evil foe that our plucky band of Avengers have to defeat.

While Thanos is supposed to look like an intimidating, all-powerful villain, some people have pointed out that he looks like… other things. Things that are not intimidating, all-powerful villains.

Things that are the back of a sneaker, for instance.
