Raccoon ate too much and got stuck in a sewer grate, something that has happened to the best of us

TwitterFacebook

Some days are good: you feel powerful, happy — like there’s nothing on this planet that you can’t do. Other days, you’re bloated, you’re mad, and you get stuck in a sewer grate.

Such is life.

Police officers in Zion, Illinois responded to a call about a plump raccoon stuck in a sewer grate on Thursday, and sure enough, upon arriving at the scene there was a plump raccoon stuck in a sewer grate. Here is what the raccoon looked like in this moment:

Channing Tatum tells his daughter he’s eaten her Halloween candy, gets adorable response

TwitterFacebook

Thanks to Jimmy Kimmel, parents telling their children they’ve eaten their Halloween candy is now glorious tradition.

It’s all about capturing their horrified little reactions on camera. Some are shocked, others are angry — and some, like Channing Tatum’s daughter in the video above, are just plain adorable.

Even when Tatum finally relents and tells her it’s all a joke, her reaction — “that’s not that funny” — is anything but impressed. Read more…

Watch another example of how toddlers act like they’re always drunk

TwitterFacebook

Toddlers are essentially drunk 24 hours out the day. They’re still getting a hang of their motor skills, it’s difficult to tell what they’re saying most of the time, and they’re constantly having their minds blown by life’s many wonders.

Brad Cook, uploaded a video yesterday on youtube of a toddler stumbling around after Halloween, that perfectly illustrates the parallels toddlers and the inebriated. This little guy could be on sugar rush for all we know especially if he just hauled in tons of candy after trick or treating.

Either way toddlers are always high on life and drunk on excitement.   Read more…

This student’s Halloween costume is the most hilariously British thing ever

TwitterFacebook

There are plenty of people who’ve done an excellent job on costumes this Halloween — just take this splendid reaction of the “distracted boyfriend” meme , for instance — but there are few costumes that have managed to be more gloriously British than this one.

Introducing Anna Lynas, a student at Scotland’s University of Stirling.

The Goat

A post shared by Anna Grace Lynas (@annagracelynas) on Jun 24, 2016 at 12:50pm PDT

This Halloween, Lynas decided to dispense with horror in favour of sweet, sweet, British nostalgia.

“All of the girls at this party last night were wearing cute outfits n i was pouring salt on the floor dressed as NEIL BUCHANAN,” she wrote on Twitter. Read more…

This guy leaves fake costumes in Halloween stores and it’s amazingly awkward

TwitterFacebook

Another year, another bunch of weird Halloween outfits — but none quite like this.

Forget your “sexy” fake news costumes and your various examples of outfits based on popular memes — this year it’s all about the “Absent Father” (complete with “the pack of cigarettes he went out for”) and “Milkshake Duck”.

The costumes in question come courtesy of comedian Jeff Wysaski. Over on his obviousplant Instagram account he’s started a trend of creating fake Halloween outfits and apparently leaving them in Halloween stores for unsuspecting shoppers to find. Read more…

‘BBC Kid’ returns as one of the best costumes this Halloween

TwitterFacebook

The BBC Kid will go down as one of the best viral videos of 2017 — possibly all time. While the magical moment can never be recreated, it sure does makes one hell of a Halloween costume.

For those out of the loop, political scientist Robert E. Kelly appeared on BBC in March to discuss some very important adult matters. While on live TV, his daughter, now lovingly known as “BBC Kid,” decided to stroll into the room with a confidence only a child could muster. The video is great, and you should really watch it (it’s embedded at the top of this post) if you haven’t.

J.K. Rowling receives Donald Trump newsletter and her response was as scathing as you’d expect

TwitterFacebook

Some people might be happy with the offer of a limited edition Donald Trump coin, but J.K. Rowling is not one of those people.

On Monday afternoon, not long after she’d blasted Trump on Twitter for his use of shouty capital letters, the Harry Potter author received a strange offer.

Apparently, to “CELEBRATE TRUMP’S VICTORY OVER THE NAY-SAYERS”, Rowling was being offered a coin with Donald Trump’s face on it.

Unsurprisingly, her response was less than enthusiastic.
