‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ made $500 million before it even hit U.S. theaters

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was a half-billion dollar moneymaker before its U.S. release on Friday. It has an outside chance of hitting the $1 billion milestone by the end of next weekend.
Not bad for a movie series about a Disney-style theme park…

Yes, Jeff Goldblum has a favorite Chris – and it’s not the one you’re thinking

We consider ourselves to be pretty knowledgeable when it comes to Chrises, but even we’ve got to admit Jeff Goldblum’s got a leg up on us.

After all, he’s starred with not one but two of them in the past year: Hemsworth in Thor: Ragnarok, and now Pratt in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

And in case you were wondering, yes, he does have a favorite Chris.

“I’ve always liked… um…” Goldblum began when Mashable asked him to choose during the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom press tour.

“Who is the lady tennis player? Chris Evert. I think Chris Evert is a wonderful exemplar of Chris-dom.” Read more…

‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ cuts badass lesbian reveal ‘for time’

TwitterFacebook

Summer movie fans, it is my somber duty to inform you: we have been robbed.

In a recent interview with BUILD, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom star Daniella Pineda detailed a scene with Chris Pratt that would’ve established her character’s sexuality

Unfortunately, Pineda says the exchange was cut for time.

In the scene, Pineda’s character, Dr. Zia Rodriguez, takes a moment to size up her dino-fighting buddy, Owen Grady (Pratt). After giving him a good once-over, Rodriguez says, “Yeah, square jaw, good bone structure, tall, muscles. I don’t date men, but if I did, it would be you. It would gross me out, but I’d do it.”  Read more…

Everyone’s making the exact same joke about the ‘Jurassic World’ trailer

Movie sequels come with both pros and cons.

‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ trailer spells doom for the humans – and the dinos

TwitterFacebook

Life finds a way… but so does death.

And in the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailers, death looks like it might be winning.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return, but this time they’re as concerned about saving the dinos as they are about running from them.

You see, a volcano is about to erupt on Isla Nublar – and it’s going to take the entire park with it. It’s up to these humans to stop the re-extinction of the dinos.

Meanwhile, genetic engineering has given rise to new creatures like the Indoraptor, described as “the most dangerous creature that ever walked the earth.” Read more…

Jeff Goldblum will help you build your own Jurassic Park this summer

TwitterFacebook

Life finds a way… to insert Dr. Ian Malcolm into your video game.

Jeff Goldblum’s Jurassic Park character plays a key role in Jurassic World Evolution, a theme park-building video game coming this summer. He confirms the news himself in a newly released short video (below).

“I highly recommend it,”  he says with peak Goldblum inflection. “It gets 10 Goldblums out of a possible 10 Goldblums. That’s my highest rating.”

Jurassic World Evolution looks like it delivers an experience along the lines of other business simulators like Theme Park or Planet Coaster, except there are dinosaurs. You map out your park, construct any facilities you need, and deal with crises when your dinos inevitably break loose to terrorize guests. Read more…
