Peter Dinklage teases brutal ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 battle

In the very first scene of Game of Thrones’ mammoth saga, viewers were confronted with a haunting reality—the people of The Seven Kingdoms have way bigger fish to fry than some spiteful infighting.

The Night King’s army of the dead has been teased endlessly since then. Countless speeches about the importance of The Wall and numerous promises of something much worse to come have more than belabored the point.

Now, with the series finale just around the corner, it’s time to get this show on the road. And Peter Dinklage (aka Tyrion Lannister aka our future King, do not doubt his power) is promising an epic and “brutal” final showdown.  Read more…

Peter Dinklage says ‘Game of Thrones’ ending is like saying goodbye to family

Peter Dinklage won his third Emmy for Game of Thrones during Monday night’s Emmy Awards, amid a bittersweet ending for Thrones that will culminate in 2019.

Backstage at the awards, Dinklage told Variety that saying goodbye to Thrones is like saying goodbye to a whole life and family he built over the past eight years.

Game of Thrones fans had a lot of responses to Daenerys and Jon hooking up in the Season 7 finale, but what was going through Tyrion Lannister’s mind, right outside the door?

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Emmy nominee (and previous winner for Thrones) Peter Dinklage broke down Tyrion’s emotion in that climactic scene…and it’s a lot to process.

“Ah, it’s complicated…” Dinklage told EW. “A lot of the time with Tyrion, it’s professional and personal. Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys. He loves her — or thinks he does. She’s awe-inspiring. He’s questioning that because he doesn’t have a good track record for falling in love. There’s jealousy wrapped up in there.” Read more…

Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning are the last people on Earth in stunningly weird ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ trailer

Most post-apocalyptic movies conjure up images of sawed-off shotguns, stray dogs, and zombiesI Think We’re Alone Now shows a very different side to the end of the world.

Directed by Reed Morano of The Handmaid’s Tale, the Sundance success stars Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning—seemingly the last two people on Earth. As Dinklage revels in the peace and quiet in a narrative akin to The Twilight Zone’s “Time Enough At Last“, Fanning relentlessly pursues their unlikely friendship.

Morano told Entertainment Weekly she was drawn to the unconventional story for its unusual take on the apocalypse theme, adding, “I was looking for something a little bit weird, or just a little bit different tonally.”  Read more…
