Gymnast Aly Raisman reveals she was also sexually abused by Olympic doctor

TwitterFacebook

Another troubling account of sexual harassment has come to light.

Aly Raisman, the 23-year-old gold-medal-winning member of the Fierce Five, revealed that she was sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics team physician Larry Nassar.

Last month, Raisman’s London Olympics teammate McKayla Maroney revealed that Nassar had molested her several times, starting when she was 13. Using the “Me Too” hashtag — which was created to support women sharing their abuse experiences after dozens accused producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault — Maroney revealed her harrowing interactions with the doctor.  Read more…

Second actress accuses ‘Gossip Girl’ star Ed Westwick of rape

TwitterFacebook

Another sexual assault allegation has come out against former Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick, this time from actress Aurélie Wynn.

A few days after Kristina Cohen spoke out against Westwick, claiming he raped her three years ago, Wynn — who went by the stage name Aurelie Marie Cao before retiring from her acting career —  wrote a Facebook post explaining she “went through a very similar ordeal” with the actor.

In the post, Wynn claims she was raped by Westwick in July 2014 after they both attended the same party.

“…Like Kristina, I said no and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight,” Wynn wrote. “I was wearing a one piece bathing suit that he ripped, I was in complete shock, I am also very tiny.” Read more…

TwitterFacebook

TripAdvisor is naming and shaming hotels where cases of sexual assault have been reported — but the black mark is only temporary.

The travel platform has begun placing digital warning badges on the pages of hotels where people have reported sexual assault.

The badges will identify “health, safety and discrimination issues in all of the website’s travel categories,” according to a New York Times report.

Accusers who spoke to CNN under condition of anonymity included a former production assistant, a former camera assistant, a former female production assistant, and several other crew members — eight in total — who claimed that Spacey’s routinely predatory behavior created, according to the production assistant, “a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors.” Read more…
