‘SNL’ reveals unseen ‘Black Panther’ scene that includes your new favorite character

If you thought you knew everything there is to know about Marvel’s Black Panther, think again.

Saturday Night Live revealed a deleted scene from the movie that shows T’Challa — played by Chris Redd — meeting all sorts of ancestors in Djalia.

His great, great grandfather (Sterling K. Brown) is there, his great aunt (Leslie Jones), and even his wacky, barbecue-loving uncle by marriage, Uncle M’Butu (Kenan Thompson).

Learn what Djalia’s like when T’Challa is away, and get some insight into the struggles of fitting into a family of panthers when you’re more of a warthog.

Returning to the land of purple skies will inspire you but also make you laugh so hard you might want Uncle M’Butu to make an appearance in the Black Panther sequel. Read more…

Sterling K. Brown stars in ‘This Is U.S.,’ the saddest political show in America

This Is Us, the NBC drama that makes everyone bawl their eyes out, is sad, but it’s nothing compared to This Is U.S. — the gripping and depressing real-life political drama happening in our government daily (also a Saturday Night Live sketch).

Sterling K. Brown stars as Ben Carson who’s navigating D.C. alongside Sarah Hucakbee Sanders (Aidy Bryant), Stormy Daniels (Cecily Strong), Jared Kushner (Pete Davidson), and Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon).

Critics are calling the show, “like This Is Us but without the parts that feel good.”

Be sure to tune in weekly as the show reveals how Sean Spicer, Anthony Scaramucci, and Hope Hicks died. There’s hella crying, so make sure you’ve got tissues — unless you’re Kellyanne. She has nothing left in her. Read more…

It was bound to be a tense Golden Globes night in Hollywood after months charged with allegations of sexual misconduct and gender inequality – and perhaps for the better, Sunday’s awards ceremony steered more toward tame. This was a night about toppling the patriarchy, and the presenters and nominees either stuck to that or sat back and let others do the talking.
