To protect our virgin eyes, this female tennis player was penalized for removing her shirt

The U.S. Open has a lot of thoughts about tennis — and women’s boobs.

On Wednesday, French tennis player Alizé Cornet walked onto the court of the U.S. Open and realized that her shirt was on backwards. Instead of running to the women’s locker room, Cornet took off her shirt in public and then put it on the right way.

Umpire Christian Rask then charged her with a code violation, prompting necessary amounts of outrage.

At the time of the incident, temperatures at the U.S. Open in New York hovered in the mid-nineties. It’s possible that Cornet didn’t want to expend additional energy running off to the locker room. Read more…

Serena Williams’ badass black body suit is now banned from the French Open

Remember that fashionable, black one-piece bodysuit that made Serena Williams feel like a “warrior princess” and simultaneously helped protect against blood clots?

Well, turns out it’s been banned from future French Open tournaments.

When Williams participated in the 2018 French open nine months after giving birth to her daughter, she wore the black Nike jumpsuit because it was designed to prevent blood clots.

During Williams’ pregnancy, she experienced some complications, including a pulmonary embolism — known as a blood clot or clots in the lungs — and a hematoma — or swelling of clotted blood in her abdomen — which required surgery. Read more…

John McEnroe earns 10 times more than Martina Navratilova for Wimbledon commentating

TwitterFacebook

Tennis star Martina Navratilova has claimed she gets paid a mere tenth of John McEnroe’s salary for her work as a commentator at Wimbledon.

Speaking on BBC Panorama, the Czech tennis champion—who’s considered among the best female tennis players of all time— revealed that she gets paid about £15K ($21K) for her role as a Wimbledon commentator, while John McEnroe earns £150K ($209K) for the same work.

Everyone’s favorite anchorman is back.
