Wendy’s burned IHOb so hard with this pancake diss

TwitterFacebook

Wendy’s had a spicy start to the week.

Like we predicted, IHOb (formerly IHOP) announced that its name change was a marketing stunt for its brand new menu item: burgers.

It started when Wendy’s, which is known for its social media sass, subtweeted IHOb’s announcement with this jab: Read more…

The Mashable House is back! And as expected, it’s a must-see experience for SXSW attendees.

Every year people flock to the Mashable house for the most entertaining, memorable, and Instagrammable experiences of the internet, IRL. And thanks to Wendy’s, this year was no different.

“Keep it Fresh, Not Frozen” PhotoBooth

From day one (49 years ago, to be exact) Wendy’s has believed in serving fresh, never frozen beef on every burger. Every day. Something the other burger guys just can’t claim.

Knowing that, they went about creating the freshest photo booth out there.

Guests were able to choose from an array of cool accessories, Hawaiian shirts, emoji hats, and sunglasses to bring a tropical feel to an icy cold freeze frame. Escaping the freezer burn frost threatening them from the background, guests mugged their best “too cool to be frozen” look as a slow-mo camera captured every detail. The final product was a hysterical video that was so fresh, it had to be posted right away. Read more…

These vintage Wendy’s training videos are catchy as hell

TwitterFacebook

Warning: do not watch these clips if you don’t want songs about fast food stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

A set of truly classic Wendy’s training videos from the eighties is currently making the rounds on Twitter thanks to radio personality Brian Fink. It’s not the first time the videos have popped up — most have been on YouTube since 2010 — but once you see them, you’ll understand they’re timeless.

You may also want to quit your job and develop Spongebob-level dedication to grilling fast food sandwiches, which is fair — just remember these videos aren’t still in use… Read more…

Wendy’s hits McDonald’s with sick burn after Black Friday Twitter fail

Black Friday: McDonald’s isn’t lovin’ it. In fact, they just got served — by another hamburger chain.

If you missed the drama on Thursday, the person who runs the McDonald’s Twitter account made a very public mistake.

Cold. Blooded. Like a French fry dipped in a creamy Frosty. Back in 2015, complaints about broken McDonald’s ice cream machines were so common, they became a meme. Some dissatisfied customer even made an app to keep track of which machines were actually working.  Read more…
